Should Transgenders Join the Military?

Trey Gowdy , South Carolina Congressman, recently responded to a reporter about the military in response to a question from a CNN reporter about the DoD ban of transgenders from joining the U.S. armed forces. As Trey typically does so very well, he nailed it rather succinctly.

Question: How can President Trump claim to represent all U.S citizens, regardless of sexual orientation, when he banned transgenders from joining the military? Isn't that discrimination?

Trey Gowdy's Response: " Nobody has a right to serve in the Military. Nobody! What makes you people think the Military is an equal opportunity employer? It is very far from it - and for good reasons - let me cite a few."

"The Military uses prejudice regularly and consistently to deny citizens from joining for being too old or too young, too fat or too skinny, too tall or too short. Citizens are denied for having flat feet, or for missing or additional fingers." he went on to explain: "By the way, poor eyesight will disqualify you, as well as bad teeth. Malnourished? Drug addiction? Bad back? Criminal history? Low IQ? Anxiety? Phobias? Hearing damage? Six arms? Hear voices in your head?

Self-identification as a Unicorn? Need a special access ramp for your wheelchair? Can't run the required course in the required time? Can't do the required number of push-ups? Not really a morning person? and refuse to get out of bed before noon? All can be legitimate reasons for denial"

"The Military has one job: Winning War. Anything else is a distraction and a liability. Did someone just scream? That isn't Fair? War is VERY unfair, there are no exceptions made for being special or challenged or socially wonderful."

"YOU must change yourself to meet Military standards and not the other way around."

"I say again: You don't change the Military - you must change yourself. The Military is not about being fair, it is about taking advantage of others and about winning.

The Military doesn't need to accommodate anyone with special issues. The Military needs to Win Wars and keep our Country safe - PERIOD!"

"If any of your personal issues are a liability that detract from readiness or lethality... Thank you for applying and good luck in future endeavors."

"...any other questions?"

That is one of the best explanations of the military I have ever read. Considering the scoliosis I was born with, I could not join the military (or a police force either, for that matter) That was not discrimination but a logical concept. Transgender beliefs are a mental illness, even though the LGBTQ activists refuse to acknowledge that most people who go through, particularly as young teens, the transgender concept, grow out of it as they mature (most research indicates that 80-90% of children who have transgender confusion become heterosexual and understanding that they are the sex that their DNA indicate they are)at maturity.

TruthorFiction.com says this cannot be attributed to Mr. Gowdy at https://www.truthorfiction.com/trey-gowdy-transgender-military-ban/

Also, for other interesting military reading at truthorfiction.com facts/comments go to https://www.truthorfiction.com/category/military/

It doesn’t matter who said this - or if it is just a compilation of comments from multiple sources - what is being said here is TRUE, TRUE, TRUE, TRUE! It always seems like the people who have NEVER served want to change the military to fit their agenda/narrative/way of life. There are some people in this country who will do ANYTHING to tear down our military readiness. So, whenever that is attempted in the future, these comments should apply. ADDITIONALLY, as someone who served 20 years in the military, I believe I am a well qualified to comment. That doesn't mean others cannot comment, but if you haven't served, I suggest you go elsewhere to make your comments on this subject.

Bravo!!!! Amen and ain’t it the truth!!!!

The Supreme Court also sided with Trump while it plays out in lower courts~~

In a 5-4 decision issued on Tuesday morning, the Supreme Court allowed the Trump administration’s ban on transgender military service to proceed while challenges to the policy play out in lower courts. The ruling was quickly praised by administration officials and harshly criticized by transgender service members and their supporters...

I agree completely. However think about this a battalion or regiment of faggots. If you were a rag head up against this and you lost you would surely know everything is getting it in the a$$. Then the shame if you survived. I think it serves several purposes. They lose one battle and all we have to say in the future is , "Cool it or we will send your girlfriends back for a second date"... I think it would shut one hell of a lot of people up- a win win

No I didn't. My father, brother, husband, 2 stepsons, and a granddaughter are vets going back to WWI.
I will say that when I asked the question I was thinking more about gays than transgenders. There have been gays who have served honorably.

It has at least as much to do with the people on your team as it would with the gay/transgender person. One weak link and the whole chain breaks.
Besides, which shower would they use? Remember, boot camp isn’t, and never will be a place for an outcast.

During my 20 year career, I would say that about 15% of the people in the Navy - officer and enlisted - where gay. Yes, and everyone could identify the gay guys. NOBODY CARED! I repeat - NOBODY CARED! Gays knew not to stray to a straight guy and the straights never bothered the gays. It was not until the politicians got their nose involved in it that it became an issue. But here's the bottom line - If you where injured - say in an automobile accident - would you ask the person who is saving your life what his (or her) sexual preferences are before they provided you with life saving procedures? No, of course not.
