Ummmm........ GI bill is still available
Ummmm........ still have graduated tax system

Ummmm........ a person who works hard and tries to better themselves and doesn’t have to have 2 $70,000.00 cars and live in a 500,000.00 dollar home and have boats and 4 wheelers and Starbucks coffee 4 times a day and a smart phone and cable tv and on and on, can still support a family on 40 hrs a week. You know, my grandparents had 1 car, and my grandmother didn’t have a drivers license until after I was born. It is the entitlement that this generation has and their desire for a bunch of stuff and the idea that all of these things listed above is what makes it seem like they can’t make it on 40hrs a week........... by the way, I have never worked a 40 hr work week in 30 years in the work force. I have always had a side hustle and worked hard. My wife has never worked outside the home though I. The 24 years we’ve been married cause we felt like it was more important to raise our own children then letting the government do it

As far as crippling debt from school, how bout we teach our children about finances and borrowing money and how interest works instead of teaching them how it’s ok to be gender fluid? I bet if they really understood debt and hard work and sacrifice for what they wanted, they would realize you don’t have to leave college with a mountain of debt. It might take longer and might require actually trying to get good grades, but I know in Georgia, with a 3.7gpa, you can get all of your undergraduate tuition paid by the Hope scholarship. The crooked government is not your friend. Why are you so hell bent on redistributing wealth through the heinously corrupt mountain of stupid spending we call capital hill?!?!?!
Ummmm....... still have anti trust laws br Ummmm..... (show quote)

40 hrs a week!!!!!!! I worked more than that when I was in high school but that’s because I knew I had to work for what I wanted.

Ask Elon musk about 40hrs a week!!!! He works that by Wednesday!!!!! Read an article he said 80-90 a week was a low estimate. Ask any self made millionaire if they worked only 40hrs a week. It depends on what’s important to you..... if you gotta have a bunch of stuff you gotta work for it.

Well, as long as you aren't up to your neck in debt, it may be that's what you're supposed to have. My list is similar minus the tablet and cable. No need for a tablet and a Radio Shack TV antenna in the attic for the past 19 years has probably saved me more than $20K. Also cut my own hair since '91 (buzz cut). Recently turned in my '95 vehicle (bought in 2000) for a 2016. You save a few bucks here and there and it smooths things out a bit. Just gotta figure out a way to be satisfied.

Yeah, amazon pays zero on 11 billion. Trump claimed a billion in losses over 10 years.

It is easy to explain why people who work hard 40 hrs. or more a week don't have any money. If you WORK the left considers you wealthy and over taxes you and gives your hard earned money to those who WON'T work, to buy their votes, so they will continue to get someone else's money. And the Democrat/socialist Party promises every election cycle to do just that. Those who WORK got tired of the left robbing them to buy votes from those who don't want and refuse to work, and elected a president that supports policies that benefits THEM, and tax cuts.

That's socialism, living off other people's money.

Those two sentences just sums it all up: But the problem is that the people who want more for their taxes don't pay any taxes. That's socialism, living off other people's money."

This really is the basic problem. We have such a burgeoning class of people, who pay NO TAXES, yet they live off the taxes that other people paid. In my area of the country, Portland, Oregon, there is a never ending plethora of "bond measures," which the "voters" (many of whom do not pay the property taxes that ensure the repayment of these bond measures) yet time and time again they vote for more and more and more goodies to be paid for by those who do pay property taxes. I can tell you those who pay property taxes are dismayed by the fact that their "rents" are continually going up. They yell that the landlords are greedy, selfish, evil people, and all the while they continue to vote in more and more goodies. There is no correlations in their minds between property taxes and thus rents going up, and the passage of more and more measures for things that they would like. Frankly, I know I will be hated for saying this, but those who do not pay taxes should not be able to vote on any measures that will be taxes being raised!

There was greater prosperity back in the 1960-1970's when families could live on the income of one wage earner. That is absolutely not true today. The government just takes too much money today, and families cannot live on what is leftover.

Not true. There are segments of Amazon on various activities that have exercised their tax shelter. But mostly the Amazon pays taxes on the remainders of their corporate activities.
