There is no evidence that she killed him because of his sex, race, or any other "protected" status. However, there is a different law that this falls directly in line.... abuse of an older person. It is a crime in Nevada to abuse, neglect, financially exploit, abandon, or isolate the elderly. Certainly, it is illegal to harm people of any age, but Nevada law carries harsher penalties for targeting "older persons (Older person means a person who is 60 years of age or older)." This would be a secondary crime with the superior crime of murder.

I am glad you brought this up because all to often hate crimes against a white is ignored by the courts and police. However, with a smart lawyer, there are often more than one way to "skin the cat."

But, we will need to wait to see what crime(s) Ms. Bishop will be tried. Let us hope she does not get a judge like Judge Hua, in that case there will be no justice served for Mr. Fournier and his disabled wife.....

Yes, because I clearly stated that it is a "well known fact that the insanity defense is factually in EVERY state of EVERY country". My generalization that they are "everywhere" was just that, a generalization and since in this country alone, they are in 92% of our states, that would be a fairly accurate GENERALIZATION for the U.S.. I did not make any references to support my generalization nor did I make any assertions that it was anything other than a generalization. I doubt that ANY generalization such as "everywhere" stands true for actual everywhere. Wait... I came up with one such example that does apply, "Everywhere on planet Earth is located on Earth", other than that one and perhaps a few other possible generalizations dealing with "everywhere", most others will not ring true for actually being "everywhere".

Generalization are just what they are, a generalization and as such will not fully reflect reality but as generalizations go, 92% is pretty close. For anyone to nit-pick a generalization... They should at least nit-pick a generalization that isn't that close to a reality. Did you truly believe that I was meaning that LITERALLY EVERYWHERE had such laws? That would be a very bold statement on my part. I am quite certain that there are at least some portions of some nations that do not have such laws on their books. All said, 92% is an awesome generalization, better than 90%, more than 9/10, the vast majority.

Polite conversations have rules, "Don’t make assumptions.” “Criticize the idea, not the person.” “Avoid generalizations.” Generalization often lead to issues, issue give birth to arguments, and argument give birth to displaced anger. Before you realize it, the subject of the thread is lost forever in perceived offenses. I was raised to converse in a polite society... and at one time I thought most Americans were raised with the same decorum, I was wrong as your diatribe illuminate.

I hope that justice will be served and she is given a long jail term. It would be useless for his wife to sue for wrongful death, even if she won.... she would never receive one cent. The best outcome would be Ms. Bishop's confinement where her anger issues can be addressed.

If her mental issues are real, could be the best outcome.
And his wife does she qualify for mental treatment as well?

Ms. Fournier is eligible for grief counseling under Social Security. She, as you may have read is blind and her husband was her caretaker, I am sure she is suffering from her loss. I am healthy, but when my husband passed away I needed help to deal with my loss. I pray that Ms. Fournier has a good support group of family and friends to help her though her time of need.

Yet you take no issue with certain individuals making assumptions, generalizations and the disinformation and lies they spread. I guess it all depends on suspected political affiliations, doesn't it? If one isn't on team "you" then they are the only ones that do any wrong. Personally, I tend to see people on both making mistakes, much of it I don't point out but then I am not on either team and team centrist doesn't exist. I had to stare at a thread title earlier for quite some time before I identified the word "abortion" (it was a FullSpinZoo thread), I don't recall the spelling they had of it but it took me a while to figure it out, but then I had some distractions going on about same time too so... Shouldn't we be favoring the truth regardless of who tells it?

P.S. I went and tracked it down, https://www.onepoliticalplaza.com/t-158239-1.html. Don't forget to go berate him for his poor spelling, "Abprtopm " isn't merely a typo. I can understand the first "p" where an "o" belongs but a "p" where an "i" belongs, that is stretching the limitations of typos. And of course typos aren't permitted by you.

I am not the spelling and grammar police. However, for those who challenge my intelligence and present themselves at or above my education and experiences, I hold them at a higher standard. I respect those people for their achievements and I endeavor to converse with them within their level of proficiency. I obviously read more into your comment "I guess we can't all be capable of comprehending simple English can we?" and concluded that you are as, if not more, educated in academia and common knowledge than myself. I then immediately elevated from the "average" into you own category. Obviously, a mistake on my part. Do forgive my crassness and rest assured, I will not correct your spelling or grammar in the future.

If you have an issue with fullspinzoo's spelling, do address your concerns with him.

Ah, but to act as spelling or grammar police in polite conversation is rather crude wouldn't you say? Many people fall prey to typos and all too often even going back over what they said in a hurried fashion can overlook certain mistakes, especially if there is a word with that spelling. I do not like pestering people for what could be nothing more than a typo or a possible failing in their schooling. Their ignorance on the other hand, that is ALL them.

Now that you have vented your spleen, is there more to the thread on the incident in Nevada that you feel requires more discussion?

Nothing more to speculate really. Just have to wait to see what charges get filed and what sentence gets handed down. I am sure they sentence will not be overly light. Women tend to get more lenient sentences but minorities tend to get stricter sentences and then there is the age and frailty of the victim that will encourage a stronger sentence.

Then, thank you for the exchanges and perhaps we shall meet again on another thread.

I love how they try to invoke stronger feelings of outrage by labeling his pull behind cart as a walker. The item that he had with him that you see in the picture is no walker, it is one of those carts some people both young and old use to cart their purchases home from the store when they shop via public transit or walking to and from the store. Of course walker or cart doesn't change the fact that what she did was absolutely wrong.

Too many Variables to say for sure.. I see the word murder in headlines yet article says she pushed him out of bus?? Why?? Intentional or Well he just in a hurry and pushed him that way?

Being released on $100,000 bond and strict house arrest may be Justified??

From the little known it is doubtful that she will be charged with murder perhaps a manslaughter charge or something of that nature?

There was a video. It showed her pushing him full force from the back.

Abprtopm?

Sounds like "I am an apterisk, a tall, wingless bird."

Just saying...
