Sorry you got raped....Goober ?

Was it really a republican ?

He must have really, really, really been desperate.

He should be hung.

It's obvious that it has scarred you for life.

Certainly does...

Not sure how you have been feeling lately...

How well I remember Clayton Williams! In 1990 he was running against Ann Richards and was leading in the polls by 20 . . . TWENTY . . . points. It wasn't even close. Then he made that asinine comment about rape and lost by a small margin. He certainly lost my vote! It was said he snatched defeat out of the jaws of victory. Ann Richards went on to win a second term and was actually a pretty decent governor, despite being a known alcoholic. Clayton was a rich oil man and I assume he returned to his business.

Unfortunately, all those posts about Republican rape comments are true. And I am an independent conservative voter who usually votes Republican. What are these people thinking when they utter such nonsense?

No, it doesn't. The opinions of six people does not speak volumes. Here's a revelation for you, in spite of one's race, creed, belief system, economic or social status, political conviction, ideology, religious affiliation, or world view, no one is perfect. We all make mistakes, we all trip over our shoelace, we all say stupid things. Even you.

If I judged all of the left leaners like Peter, I would be so filled with anger, and hatred that I couldn't live with myself.
I don't know how he does it. Must really suck to be so hateful, and unhappy.

Perhaps you are right, regardless the offensiveness of what they say, what does the comments of a mere 6 Republican politicians say about the Republican party as a whole? Okay, try this one for size then, http://addictinginfo.com/2013/07/16/the-party-of-rape-culture-40-republican-rape-quotes-everyone-should-remember/. Still not the entirety of the Republican party but it certainly does seem to show a trend of heartlessness. If that isn't enough, consider the Alabama bill passed yesterday, doesn't even allow abortion in cases of rape or incest even.
