Good advise,, and what exactly does it have to do with the offered prices which you posted earlier?

It tells farmers to wait around until they are offered a price they can accept.. what if that does not come?

Your picture posts are never on the subject.
That wait is part of farming, always has been.
Farmers often shoot themselves in the foot by producing too much.
That is what they do and hope for the best.

What have you got against farmers??

When I lived on a farm, the only sales outlet was the local elevator at harvest time..

I truly hope it is better for the family farmer now..

Not many of them left, need so much in funding very few can manage it..

Yeah! America was built on the idea of the family farm. I miss our family farm in South Dakota. but not everything about it. Times have changed.

It's too bad that most farming is now controlled by large agri-businesses and they rely on subsidies and incentives and have one of the largest lobbies in Congress. Economies of scale make things cheaper but these businesses are now too powerful for their, and our, own good because they manipulate the free market to their advantage. The problem is not with capitalism, it is crony capitalism that is the fault. A majority of the states are still primarily productive agriculturally and the Senate is greatly influenced by this base of power because a majority of senators represent farming states.

Nothing against farmers.
Great respect for them.
Not an easy life.

Anywhere near the Red River?

This is a part of America that urban kids rarely get to experience anymore while growing-up. Towns are disappearing. What a shame. Too many think milk comes from the supermarkets! They also think all the votes should come from CA and NY.

I did a bad typing job.. should read Lived on... not live on.. left for the city when 7th grade was over..

My uncle did live on the Red River valley area and had a very nice, large and productive wheat farm..

It does amaze me that kids do think as you say.. no idea how milk, meat and eggs are made.. Sad..

Too bad that area has been prone to some outrageous flooding. Otherwise it is a beautiful area. I love the smell of fresh cut alfalfa.
