How many of those things ruin the landscape where you live? I live out in the sticks, and would like to look at the stars from my porch. But no!! The horizon is covered wall to wall East, and West with red blinking lights! Kinda FKD up my quality of life, bit that's OK. I'm not a Democrat, progressive, so I deserve it, right?

BTW, my son works on those things for a living, and he was all about it at first, but now, knowing what he does, he's working on getting out of it. They don't pay their freight, they kill raptors, and pollute the ground around them with oil, and grease. Plus, the companies that run them don't respect the work/life balance of their employees.

Seems to me that other than not paying their freight, you leftists should hate them too.

But, nah! They're gonna make life better for everybody!!

Not so much......

We have thousands of them around here along with the transmission lines, and towers ruining our landscape, and our electric bill only goes up.

I hear ya, arch. I am an amateur astronomer and thank God there are no wind farms within a hundred miles of me. I can drive five minutes and enjoy exploring the night sky without a hint of light pollution.

Pollution is a good way to describe it.

He stated his opinion, and the conversation is over. He has places to go.
He needs to get to his service job at the truck stop restroom.

If you had bothered to read my previous response and clicked the link you would have seen this article from those wascawy white wingers the Audubon Society. So tell me, will you believe them ?

https://www.audubon.org/news/will-wind-turbines-ever-be-safe-birds

I would never doubt the audubon.. great organization..

Siting could well be added for consideration of the bird deaths..

but I think it will be a bit down the list..

While bird deaths should be avoided if at all possable, they have been with us a long long time..

It is now given attention mostly as a tactic by anti renewable..

After all, by far the most birds are killed by collisions with windows of all sorts.. wind mills are not even close..

Good point arch buddy … how many million wind generation reducing gearboxes VS the BP gulf spill... the truth is there is no excuse for sloppy utility maintenance ...

You should move to the sticks.. no light problem up here, the milky way looks as if God only made it for this night..

No windmills around for that matter.. 3 (count em) solar farms not so far, not pretty, but they do not smoke or smell much..

You have to get past it all. renewable s are not as the fossil fuel people tell you.. they are the future..
the future for the world not only the US..

So what you're sayin is that they aren't around you, and don't bother you, so I should suck it up, or move from my home of nearly 30 years because you think they're great?

Ain't THAT MFKNG SPECIAL!!

It is nothing unique to wind power.. electric lines, cables of all sorts have killed bird from the first pole and wire strung in the world..

And to this day and forever the greatest killer of birds are the windows in our homes and businesses..

this idea has always been one of the most pathetic of all attempts to put renewable energy in a bad light..

and it is completely stupid and hopeless as Audubon has also made known..

Not far from where I live are hundreds of those eyesores. They are ugly, constantly breaking down and producing ozone like crazy. Ozone, BTW, is toxic... but it is invisible so it won't spoil the view and it does smell nicer than burning coal. I'll give you that but it is much more problematic.

You have it all wrong pal, that isn’t my floppier poking you in the eye when you are kneeling gape mouthed in front of some glory hole, and frankly it disturbs me a bit to be part of your homoerotic fantasy. My post was about Trumps lie, he no more saw a pile of dead eagles than he saw thousands of Muslims cheering the trade center attacks in New Jersey. He just feeds sh!t to his idiot minions. There is little question turbines kill birds, not as many as his high rise buildings or air pollution from fossil fuels, but I digress. The point is that Trump is a pathological liar, and his cult buys his lies hook line and sinker.

You expect us to believe ANYTHING you post? We're not the ignorant ones. It's the anti-science crowd that believes a fetus isn't human.
