Intelligent design is irrefutable...

One cannot possibly look at the world, see the perfection in which each species fills its niche and fail to see the intelligence at work... unless that one is completely ignorant of the terms being used in the discussion... or is just plain ignorant.

Imagine for a moment that your father was a house painter; his father had been a house painter and his father before him, the same. Physically, you are about the same as your father and he has been encouraging you to take over the family business. He has all the right equipment and is willing to set you up in the business.

You have two siblings. One is almost 7 feet tall and insists that his place in on a basketball court. The other is allergic to some of the chemicals in the paints and decides on a career as a sheet-rocker instead.

Here we have a family of house painters; you will carry on the traditional business; one will try professional sports and the other chooses a vocation related to the family business but not in that exact line of work.

It can be argued that the house painting business is "in your blood". It can also be argued that you just followed the most advantageous route to prosperity.

It can be said that the basketball player took advantage of his height and chose to apply that to his advantage. It can also be said that random chance gave him an opportunity not available to the rest of the family and he chose to follow that lead.

Finally, it can be said that the sheet-rocker wanted to remain in a similar field to his family's experience and probably would have become a house painter had he not been alergic to those chemicals. Here too, it could be said that random chance forced him into a different field of endeavor but lacking any special advantage, he stayed as close as he could to the family line.

In each case, yours and both siblings', your physical capabilities directed your choices but in every case, an intelligent choice was made.

You will probably encourage one of your children to take over the family business; if successful, your basketball brother will try to get his children, at least one, into the sports field; if not in basketball, perhaps in baseball or football depending on that child's abilities. The sheet-rocker's children may go back into grandpa's house painting business or they may continue as sheet-rockers.

In each instance, nature affected the choices that were made but, in each case, an intelligent choice was made. The slight variation from the standard by the sheet-rockers produces no significant difference other than a few habits. The significant difference of the basketball player will produce a completely different family orientation for their futures.

The same thing takes place in the wild. A species produces variants in every generation. In the case of birds, some are capable of eating insects only and they will need to follow the warmth, to maintain their food supply. Some can eat seeds and they can find adequate supplies in winter so they won't need to migrate.

The act of eating insects forces that variant to fly thousands of miles every year. Finding adequate nutrition year round allows that variant to stay put for the year. What they can eat determines what they must do to keep eating. In every case, an ancestral individual discovered a capability and exploited/chose to use, it. An intelligent choice was made.

It is necessary to understand the distinctions in intelligent choice and intellectual choice. An intellectual choice may include an intelligent choice but an intelligent choice need not be an intellectual choice. From the outside, both kinds of choices will meet the standards of an intelligent choice.

Now, since behavior has a significant role to play in how a creature is going to thrive and pass on its advantages and disadvantages, what the creature looks like and how it lives may well not appear that there ever could have been a genetic link between them but both will fit perfectly in the niches they now occupy.

Ya know, Kevy, either you can't understand what you read or you just read subject lines. Either way, you present yourself as pointless and irrelevant. Congratulations!
