Larry has experience in these matters.
As do we, but it's been a long time. Mrs.Bunker's Corgis got themselves skunked a few times. That's why I found, and knew about this product.

Neighbor's dog got skunked real good and they had to leave the dog out all the time and it stunk up our yard too. Sickening smell.

Combine that with the rained on, wet dog smell. That's what we came home to Friday!

A bath in tomato juice is an old country remedy.
Your right I was going to say that but you beat me to it.

I always read and this is my first reply, I can help with the skunks. You need to pee along the fence line . I grew up in the rural mid west and my grand father thought me this . It works and enjoy your morning stroll. Ted
It definitely helps keep the critters away. My 6 months in the california mountains ha a bear and a mountain lion nearby, but peeing around the camp gave notice I was around.

That's what we always did when one of our pups encountered a wood kitty. They still have some smell after the tomato juice bath but it was reduced to where we let him back in the house.

Why didn't/haven't I thought of that before? It might also work for curling up some weeds!

Doesn't work.
I used Listerine and Scope once. Worked great.
To remove skunk spray, get several large cans of tomato juice and work it into the fur and rinse well. You may have to repeat this several times. If the problem is skunks taking up residence where you don't want them, setup a radio or recording and play acid rock loudly. They hate it and even a mother with kits will scram. I'm not certain about other genres of music, if they'd have any effect. My grandfather did this on several occasions when skunks moved into his tool shed.
