Why you can't OD on pot...

If I smoked Marijuana I would lose my job because of the drug testing. So no, I do not want to try.

Are you a truck driver or pilot? If not your union should push to take such random tests off the table. What you do on your own time is for you to decide.

I'm hoping Texas will legalize medical marijuana as it has been successfully tested for Fibromyalgia. It could help me and thousands of other Texans crippled by pain...

I got the joke. I merely wanted to raise another issue. Lets us say for the sake of argument that Pot was thoroughly legalized all other America. What about the drug testing for certain professions ? I don't know, so I am asking. Alcohol leaves the body pretty quickly. The next day after drinking you can pass a sobriety test. What is the deal with Pot ? I understand detectable traces stay in the body even though you are not under the influence after a certain amount of hours.

Well yeah! As soon as we’re all drugged out of our minds, the sooner the Socialists can take us over.

I thought it had been proven fibromyalgia didn’t actually exist.

I worked at a place like that. Every month the same guy would go take the test. Problem solved.

This is the one in a million. I agree with Kevyn.

I have been tested a couple of places I worked. It does not bother me. One place I worked one guy I knew was insulted when he was randomly picked and then it would take him hours to urinate in a cup. Me, I always wanted to be tested. Sometimes they were so screwed up it would take hours. That was time I did not have to produce on my little hamster wheel. My hand always went up, " take me, take me ".
This last time at my present job, I was randomly selected. The guy doing the testing was insulting. He did not get the concept of random drug testing. He thought that I and all of the others from various companies were obvious drug offenders and he was there to catch us. Alas he sent off my sample to the distant lab and I never heard from him. Since I am still employed I guess I passed.

It can be found up to 70 days later, give or take, with a simple urine test. This was as of around 25 years ago, when I had to take a work related course on all that stuff, and back then a hair follicle test could nail you years later.
One can only figure that by now testing is even more advanced.
