2-4-5T was used to kill resistant brush and trees. I imagine it would wipe out a corn field so I am not sure who told you that. Best stuff ever for Mesquite. Outlawed in around 1964. 2-4D was developed as a plant growth hormone but it made plants grow too fast, so they died or went crazy. It is the main ingredient in Weed B Gone. 2-4D will make cotton grow like crazy but never produce cotton. You were actually right the first time. Mixed together they make Agent Orange.
If these "evil" products weren't available, your produce would be less available and a whole lot higher in price.

As a one time farmer and a farm kid, I mostly agree with you.
However, I regard Monsanto and Nestle both among the most evil of business..
So, yes, without chemical weed control we could not feed the world.
Nomatter how noble our efforts, the task is too large for that..
But on a personal level, when ever possable, purchase Organic or non-sprayed food..
