I expect objectivity - not activism or drama. Not treating with kid gloves (Obama) or skewering with hyperbole (like Fox did Obama). No trying to sway opinion just report the news and we will make up our own minds. The talk shows can do what they like but the news needs to be held to a higher standard.

Agreed. But objectivity is difficult to extract from any of the cable shows because they are ratings driven. They occasionally report the truth but then spin off in different directions and pose sensationalist teasers that suggest lurid expose’s are forthcoming. They know enough about psychology to manipulate human interest and feed their respective tribal agendas.

Maybe you could read what people post properly before responding (in the name of accuracy.) I also wonder if you could restrain yourself from calling women a “bitch”. Name calling of any kind is bad enough but it seems like extreme disrespect to call a fellow woman and mother that name, especially a former First Lady.

The main news networks do the same only its more subtle. I can understand why they do it in this age of instant gratification though I wish they’d have more integrity

“My” people? I assume you are lapsing into that tribal reflexive habit of dividing Americans into two groups; those that like President Trump and all “others”. Seems like a rather narrow view of the world but you are of course entitled to it. I find Sarah Sanders behavior quite obnoxious but that is different to calling her a foul name. She and her family were hounded out of DC restaurant by anti-trumpers, an act of unforgivable discourtesy in my view, regardless of what you think of her character. The same goes for Trump himself and his immigrant trophy wife. I have heavily criticized his behavior but he is the President and as such deserves the respect of that office, his low moral character notwithstanding. His wife the same as all other First Ladies deserves the respect of that position. I don’t understand the use of the possessive with regard to the Presidency. I have never referred to any of them as “my” President and First Lady, they are just THE President and First Lady but that is just my view.
