WASHINGTON — Attorney General William P. Barr will release a redacted version of the special counsel’s report on Thursday morning, a Justice Department spokeswoman said Monday, the first step in what promises to be a protracted fight with Democratic lawmakers over how much of the document they are allowed to see.

The report will be released to both Congress and the public, the spokeswoman, Kerri Kupec, said.

The article goes on to state the following:

Mr. Barr will send the report after lawyers from the Justice Department and the office of the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, finish blacking out secret grand jury testimony, classified information, material related to continuing investigations and other sensitive information.

Mr. Barr, who was sworn in as attorney general in February, said in a letter to congressional judiciary committee leaders last month that the report “sets forth the special counsel’s findings, his analysis and the reasons for his conclusions” in his inquiry into possible links between the Trump campaign and Russia’s election interference and whether Mr. Trump illegally obstructed the investigation.

“Everyone will soon be able to read it on their own,” Mr. Barr said of the report.

More than a few people on OPP will not be happy...

Just try to keep in mind

I want the full report not what Barr wants the American people to see.

You can’t claim executive privilege on violations of law of what occurred during the campaign. He wasn’t even president so if Barr redacts these areas then it a waste of time.

The President has not claimed executive privilege. Having said that, I am as anxious as you are to read the full report, even though some information will be redacted. In time, when all court cases are finalized, I am sure much of the picture will be painted. What we will need to do, as a nation, is to keep an eye on the actions happening in New York. This will fill in the gaps. We will not be privy to names of foreign operatives or our field agents, but I can live with that. I want the truth, whether it is good news for our President or not. We deserve transparency in this..... and indeed most of what happened during the campaign and the FISA warrants. I am sure that some people will not be able to handle the truth, but most will.

Anything less than totally condemning Trump, recommending criminal charges and removal from office the Democrats will reject. They do not want truth they just want to get Trump.

Like it or not, classified material and sources must be protected. The general public doesn't need to know and has no idea how to deal with it. Nor do journalists.

Do you not listen to the things Trump or his advisors say. Do Trump supporters live in a sound proof room. That’s different when it comes to foreign operatives where were you when Chaney outed Valeri Plhame Wilson but that doesn’t concern Trump supporters. I think this country has a right to see this mans taxes and what he was doing during the campaign. Congress has a right to see the full un-redacted report and not a summary by a Trump plant. The series of lies by Trump with the Trump tower meeting, Trump negotiating to build a tower in Russian while he flat out denied he was negotiating. I want to know why Kushner was trying to set up a back channel with the Russians, I want to know about Manafort handing over polling data to the Russians, I want to know about Roger Stone and Wikileaks. This has nothing to do with foreign operatives it has nothing to do with executive privilege. I want to know what the Trump campaign did prior to the election, I want to see his tax returns why is Trump hiding this stuff. It has nothing to do with executive privilege it has nothing to do with naming foreign operatives but it has everything to do with information compiled by the FBI, CIA and the Justice Department. So don’t use this excuse, we have a right to know what the Russian did and who in this country was involved. And just letting Trump and William Barr read that investigation is a GD disgrace. It’s congresses job to get that report and determine what should be made public and institute laws and procedures to prevent it from ever happing again.

What happened with these 100 meetings with 7 different Trump advisors what was said and what was done, we are not talking about foreign operatives that will damage our national security. I want to know how the Russian were able to convince these far right extremist to vote for a scam artist as our president I want to know what involvement Trump and his family had in these hackings.

Google, Facebook, YouTube, were all unknowingly involved that’s already public. There were no foreign operatives involved there. How about the hush money paid to the National Enquirer what does that have to do with foreign operatives. What does Trumps tax returns got to do with foreign operatives.

( WHY WOULD TRUMP SUPPORTERS WANT THIS ALL BURIED. YOU WOULD THINK IN THE INTEREST OF NATIONAL SECURITY THEY WOULD WANT THE FULL REPORT RELEASED. THE RIGHT IS ALWAYS SCREAMING NATIONAL SECURITY, TRUMP CREATED ONE ON THE BORDER BUT WANTS TO IGNORE CYBER WAR AND GIVE PUTIN A PASS. I WANT TO KNOW WHY HE TOOK OFF THE SANCTION ON RUSSIAN FOR THE HACKING.

Obama did not start the program fast and furious, it was started under Bush Administration. Now do you have any idea what fast and furious actually was. I can’t wait for your explanation especially since you had no idea when it even started. Haaaaaaaaaaa haaaaaaaaaaa haaaaaaaaaa you are amazing and so misinformed about facts. Its actually comical with your thought process. I just can’t stop laughing when I read your responses you blame everything on Obama just like Trump

Why do you think the Republican held congress did not investigate fast and furious. It was Obama who cancelled it.

Call the bartender. You're ready for another one. Ummm...Eric Holder was held in contempt of Congress over the Fast, and Furious investigation, and Obama used "executive privilege" to shut it down.

Pick your battles, cupcake!

I didn't say anything about when what started. Holder was held in contempt of congress, and Obama used executive privilege to stop the investigation.
