In winter when it's cold.
If I have a cold to cover my cough.
To put on my head when a chill.
To put on my head with respect.
To wear to a new job
To look pretty on a date.
But NOT to cover my religious belief.
Scarfs hide

The hijab is to display religious beliefs, not hide.

In regard to radical Islam, the hijab has become a symbol of extremism much as the rebel flag intimidates leftist spooks.
And when a Muslim smiles at an American, the smile is as fake as a CNN news alert.
Everything a Muslim says is a lie, when they speak to an infidel.
It's called Taqiya.
In America, a Muslim wearing a hijab may be perceived as a warning that the person wearing it may very well be "hiding" their contempt and hatred.
So remember Dudley, if ever a female Muslim in a hijab smiles at you, be warned.
To her................you're an infidel.

Excellent analogy..

Would depend on the Muslim...

Horrible definition of Taqiyya..

So few wear their contempt and hatred openly these days...

I take it as a warning whenever any female smiles at me...

Wearing a hijab.
Try walking into a courthouse, bank or government office building wearing a ski mask.

Let's see if I got this right. You support Muslims including over a million obama brought here from terrorist countries. You support full term abortion, animal rights, a wide open border and genocide. You are against tax cuts, the economy recovery, and a president that hasn't committed a Constitutional violation. You are against collusion with Russia that didn't exist but selling Russia our uranium at great profit is AOK. You can overlook every abuse of power and Constitutional violation of obama's but fault Trump for what a bunch of Trump haters couldn't prove in two years. You are a big fan of a woman that cheated her way through the primary saying "what difference does it make now" talking about the lives of 4 Americans she and her boss left to die, as a democrat JBJ left the men of the US Liberty, as Carter left the Iran hostages, as Clinton left the Branch Davidian. You are for more power to the government to control the citizens of this nation because government is wiser than mortal men. I will leave it at that.

My understanding it is to show that you're a true believer so you won't be raped. That's kinda hiding.

Isn't it true that Muslim women wear such to be considered true believers so they're not raped? Didn't the Egyptian and Iranian women's movements in the 20th century include burning hijabs and fighting for freedom of movement? And at least in Christian sects requiring such it's to "hide". I've long thought that nuns having to wear one was wrong, or at least uncomfortable. A childhood friend became a nun and they also shaved her head when she took her final vows. It didn't stick with her. She left the order. Two of her brothers did remain as priests tho. Having known them as children it always gave me a smile to think of Georgie or Tommy as "father" lol. Or maybe, being raised Lutheran, I just didn't get it

You are aware of what a hijab is, no?

It is neither a true requirement nor an attempt to prevent rape...
Despite the numerous crimes committed by Muslim men against women that are "justified" by Muslim men as being their right, Islam does not permit the rape of women (legal marriage does not allow a woman to claim rape against her husband... And there is always the issue of slavery....)
Women in Islam are required to be humble and chaste... This often includes covering the head... Or taking measures to avoid male company... Much of it is cultural as well...

Well, yes, anything you're forced to wear marks you as a second class, or certain class, citizen. Think yellow stars. Does Islam not permit the rape of ANY woman, or just Muslim women?
