I hate to be the one to point it out, but wasn't the one left extremely fat? Or, did it eat itself?

They'd eaten each other and there wasn't even a bite left to prove it.

Same here. I have been posting for years, as has my wife. When the post is signed SWMBO it is my wife posting, NPP is me, and we love to keep people confused, although since we have been married over 50 years we tend to think a lot alike anyhow. SWMBO stands for She Who Must Be Obeyed, in case you are curious. She is a dog trainer and the dogs obey her, as do I!!!!!

Thanks NPP good to know, I love dogs have a great old girl right now. My son has an unruly one maybe she can give me some Tripp’s on I can pass onto him, one of those over hyper ones, a mix of some kind that needs about 10 acres to run on to gear him down to normal, I think 🤔

My father used to take us trolling for barracuda and other fish near Pennecamp Reef. He told us to be very careful handling the barracuda as they had very large mouths with even larger teeth and were known for cannibalism. We caught 2 6-footers and threw them in the fish tank. They cannibalized each other and there wasn't even a tooth left over, they'd done such a complete job consuming each other.
Welcome to the forum.

Thanks glad to be here... 6 footers, I didn’t know they got that big, would hate to run into that.

The largest barracuda I've personally caught was about 2 1/2 feet and weighed nearly 7.5 lbs. I'e heard of them getting up to 5 1/2 to six feet, but have never seen one that large. We didn't keep any fish over 8 lbs in that area due to the accumulation of ciguatera poisoning as we were fishing near the Pennekamp Reef off the Florida coast and predatory fish accumulate the poison from eating smaller reef fish. It won't likely kill you but make you wish you hadn't eaten that barracuda. We used to catch a lot of grouper, snapper, kingfish and barracuda, but, alas, it is now illegal to fish there to preserve the reef. But the reef is beautiful and I sure want the next generations of Americans to be able to snorkle there and see it. It's a genuine American treasure!
