Myth Of Obama’s ‘Scandal-Free’ Presidency Evaporates With Foreign Lobbying Indictment

Written by Wes Walker on April 12, 2019

How long after this will it be until Biden regrets bragging about forcing Ukraine to fire their version of the AG?

‘Not a smidgen of corruption’. Isn’t that what Obama told us?

Between the indictments being handed down for Obama’s own Council for lying about foreign lobbying, and the case Barr is opening up to whether the spying on Trump’s campaign was warranted or not, how history is going remember his supposedly squeaky-clean presidency is about to go through some serious changes.

Let’s start with the charges:

Latest: Build The Wall: Trump's New Solution To Border Crisis Makes Left Furious

Gregory Craig, who was White House counsel under President Barack Obama, was indicted Thursday on charges of lying and hiding information related to his work for Ukraine.

Craig, a 74-year-old lawyer based in Washington, D.C., was charged by the Justice Department’s Foreign Agents Registration Act, or FARA, unit. Craig faces up to five years in prison for each of the two counts.

The charges stem from the federal investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election led by special counsel Robert Mueller, which came to a formal end last month.

Ukraine, eh?

A Clinton lawyer has connections there, too. He’s the same guy that represented Trump’s disgraced and prison-bound lawyer, Michael Cohen:

Cohen’s Lawyer Isn’t Just Close With The Clintons — He’s A Registered Foreign Agent For A Pro-Putin Oligarch

Or some rather inconvenient Hillary stories:

Yo, CNN: Hillary Sided With Russia On Sanctions As Bill Made $500K For Speech In Moscow — Is That News?

Ukrainian efforts to sabotage Trump backfireKiev officials are scrambling to make amends with the president-elect after quietly working to boost Clinton.:

Ukrainian government officials tried to help Hillary Clinton and undermine Trump by publicly questioning his fitness for office. They also disseminated documents implicating a top Trump aide in corruption and suggested they were investigating the matter, only to back away after the election. And they helped Clinton’s allies research damaging information on Trump and his advisers, a Politico investigation found.

And coming back to Joe Biden:

Two years after leaving office, Joe Biden couldn’t resist the temptation last year to brag to an audience of foreign policy specialists about the time as vice president that he strong-armed Ukraine into firing its top prosecutor.

In his own words, with video cameras rolling, Biden described how he threatened Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in March 2016 that the Obama administration would pull $1 billion in U.S. loan guarantees, sending the former Soviet republic toward insolvency, if it didn’t immediately fire Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin.

…“Well, son of a bitch, he got fired. And they put in place someone who was solid at the time,” Biden told the Council on Foreign Relations event, insisting that President Obama was in on the threat.

…But Ukrainian officials tell me there was one crucial piece of information that Biden must have known but didn’t mention to his audience: The prosecutor he got fired was leading a wide-ranging corruption probe into the natural gas firm Burisma Holdings that employed Biden’s younger son, Hunter, as a board member.

U.S. banking records show Hunter Biden’s American-based firm, Rosemont Seneca Partners LLC, received regular transfers into one of its accounts — usually more than $166,000 a month — from Burisma from spring 2014 through fall 2015, during a period when Vice President Biden was the main U.S. official dealing with Ukraine and its tense relations with Russia. —The Hill

Surely the Democrats wouldn’t object to a corruption probe looking into the international dealings of elected officials and high-ranking public servants over, say, the last 15 years to root out any international quid-pro-quos that might have run contrary to American interests?

After all, there is a shocking number of those who, after going through DC, are somehow able to parlay the humble role of public servant into a seven-, eight- or even 10-figure net worth?

I could be the lawyer and put obama in jail 10 times over for the Affordable Care Act alone. It just shows these Libtards know nothing of the documents that founded this nation or the meaning of abuse of power. So far Trump has zero Constitutional violation but they keep trying to say he is a bad president when they are totally clueless. The only thing not tried to get these Libtards up to par is slapping the stupid out of them which for the good of the nation I would gladly volunteer.

He's baited them into continuing and greater stupidity more lately, it seems.

Already did, posted it above. That's the first time I've ever seen that publication, so I explored a bit, then added the icon for further perusal.

A conservative venue, previous articles by Wes Walker, also. Definitely a writer who does his homework, worth reading.

These Dems have become spoiled, getting away with so much skullduggery that they have lulled themselves into a false belief that they are Teflon® coated, they can say and do as they please, shielded by the mainstream media.

That Teflon® is soon going to crumble and fall off, leaving them exposed and, for some of them and some who have abetted them, in beeeeg trouble.

Specious, argumentative, appositionally defiant nonsense designed to buy back some credibility by a desperate attempt at false equivalency. The Obama administration wasn’t squeaky clean, but they look like Mr. Rogers Neighborhood compared to the current scandal plagued criminal circus.

No administration has ever been squeaky clean. Trump’s is unprecedented.
