Because Progressives will by then have killed any possibility of keeping the House and Conservatives will capture a super majority in the Senate and Trump won't need Progressive obstructionism.

Maybe thats trumps words, but when he screws your brains out,and people wish for aca back then what.If republicans and trump have such a great plan it should come out before the election, because so many millions on the left voted for trump because he said he would have a better and cheaper healthcare plan.Dont think they will trust him enough to vote for him again if no plan is put foward before the election.

Who wrote Obama Care? Too costly and too limited. Who wants the government to control their health care and what a price to pay.

YOU CAN BET IT WILL BE BETTER THAN "YOU HAVE TO PASS IT TO FIND OUT WHATS IN IT.ONE THING THOUGH THE DEMOrATS ARE SO STUPID THEY VOTED FOR THAT STUPID BILL.

I fail to see the difference between that and Trump's "vote for me and we'll have a great healthcare plan", which by the way he already ran on once, and we found out there was no plan.

That stupid bill gave over 20 million people healthcare, better healthcare plans than the junk plans people were paying for that weren't worth crap if you actually got sick and needed it.

It's been ten years and there isn't one yet.

The ACA would have worked a lot better with GOP support such as going after the waste and fraud it was supposed to. I can still hear the idiotic GOP rhetoric when they refused to fund $150 million that was going to save billions, "we don't have the money", "that's growing government bigger".

The GOP refused to sign bills cutting waste and fraud that would have amounted to over $350 Billion.

Where can I purchase some of those Trump mind reading spectacles that gives you the advantage over us as to how Trump thinks? Are they rose colored?

How do people with your inability to look back at events survive? Trump already ran on the we'll have the best healthcare ever theme, it turned out he had absolutely nothing. And this time will be different? Talk about rose colored glasses, yours are black that you can't see anything through.

Lone, don't make this a partisan issue. It is a problem for both parties. The ACA made a lot of money for the insurance, hospital, and pharmaceutical industries. Their lobbyists help write the bill. Yes, it may have helped some people who had pre-existing conditions, but it did nothing to reduce the cost of healthcare for everyone. That would have cut the flow of campaign contributions from the healthcare industry to both sides of the isle.

Reducing the cost of healthcare starts with reducing the cost of drugs and care, and insurance regulation in terms of their administration costs.

And by the way, the year before the ACA started my wife's Kaiser cost $950 a month plus copays, the first year of Obamacare it was $550mo, and went down every year until 2016 which was $350mo. 2017 went up to $900mo, 2018 $950mo, still $950mo. That is because insurance companies raised their rates because they could and nobody was going to stop them.

It was a gift by Obama to exempt them from Obamacare. (I'm hoping you'll respond that it was a bribe not a gift.)

Obama or congress? Keep it straight, there is a difference.

If I remember correctly it was the only way it was going to pass. Another fine example of 'do as I say, not as I do' from our 'representatives'.
Since the Republicans seem to have been caught off guard by Trump on this one I think any plan they suggest should include the Congress. The Dem's would then be stuck if they oppose it which would give the Republicans more time to work on their plan and expose the Dem's.

Dems have no problem taking a year or two working over plans, it's the GOP that tries to jam through idiotic poor plans through before anyone can see what's in them.

The GOP tax cuts should have been done over a year, not jammed through in a few days from when they let dems even see them.

They have a plan but you don't think he is going to say now and give the RATS over a year to pick it apart.

It's how it's done, you don't think the ACA was picked over for a year by republicans? Dems will spend a year before the election planning healthcare, and a year after

I believe Mr. Trump wants to know "what's in it" and if it'll work before they pass it. A rare oddity for Washington.

Sure...okay... of course he does...

Do you actually believe that? Do you think the GOP is capable of actually laying a good plan out for the public to see, for the CBO to check out cost factors, to give anyone a chance to either get behind it or reject it?

If the GOP actually came up with a really good plan that wasn't for the industry versus people dems would be all over it.
