That's not exactly true, as we've seen with the pipeline over reservation lands moving forward being implemented while disregarding and disrespecting the Native Americans objections to it, along with their right to protect their water.

Archie: If you support and defend an action - then its the same as committing that action. Remember, if you and I go to a bank to rob it, and you stay in the car, you will still be charged with "bank robbery" -I don't think they have a charge for "sitting in the get away car." Contrary to what you may think, I actually don't 'hate' anyone - hate is such a wasted emotion. Clearly, Smedley had nothing to do with the atrocities that you are speaking of, since they happened over a hundred years before he was born. I fail to see why you keep insisting he bears the burden of guilt, for the moral failures of others he never knew, or ever met. To bully him into feeling guilty purely because he happened to be born white, seems to be ridiculous, and makes you to look like the one with racist tendencies. Identity politics is a dangerous practice, it tends to place the blame on many people who have nothing whatsoever to do with the problem.

Let me see if I follow your logic. Anyone that "defends" an action is as guilty as the person who committed that action, irrespective of time or distance. If I am to accept that as a "fact" then it follows that East African early humanoids are responsible for racism. For it was those early humans that started to move out of East Africa some 300,000 years ago killing or through inner breeding caused the extinction of all other humanoids they encountered in their wake. Ergo, still using your logic, it was they who set in motion the concept of invasion=elimination of inhabitants. And therefore, it is their fault that not so native Americans or not so native Central Americans or even South Americans were killed or assimilated.
