Trump and the Art Of The Sophist: his egregious attempt to denigrate a dead man

It is safe to assume that the deceased Senator John McCain is not able to adequately or otherwise defend himself, so hitting a person while he is down, and down six feet, shows the president's lack of decency. Perhaps if there was some truth in Trump's pissing on this grave in his tweets, some measure of, maybe not forbearance, but restraint of judgment might be in order. But that is not the case. The depth of his hate for anyone who he sees opposes knows no bottom.

The president hurled a series of unfounded allegations at the former Arizona senator this week on social media, claiming new court documents revealed he personally delivered the infamous dossier containing information against Mr Trump “to the FBI and Media hoping to have it printed BEFORE the Election”.
“He & the Dems, working together, failed (as usual),” Mr Trump wrote on Sunday morning. “Even the Fake News refused this garbage!”

Mr Trump’s comments appear to be an attempt to concoct a scandal surrounding the late senator.

Here are the facts:
Mr McCain previously confirmed he provided a copy of the dossier that was created by Christopher Steele, a British spy, to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in 2017, before passing away a year later from a rare form of brain cancer called glioblastoma.

Mr McCain has denied providing a copy of the document to media outlets. The court documents Mr Trump is REFERRING TO IN HIS TWEETS ACTUALLY STATES THAT THE DOSSIER WAS PROVIDED TO BuzzFeed BY DAVID KRAMER.

Mr Kramer is a former official who worked at the US State Department and currently serves as the senior director for human rights and human freedoms at the McCain Institute.
While a newly unsealed court filing from September appears to confirm that Mr McCain did in fact share a copy of the dossier with former senior counterintelligence FBI agent Bill Priestap, a separate court filing confirms the dossier was provided to media by Mr Kramer.

As your source says and it is documented in court papers, as I showed, it was David Kramer who gave the story to BuzzFeed. Kramer and McCain were friends. It is not a stretch to think that there was some collusion between them to release to the public. But the facts in evidence show it was Kramer and not McCain. Like you may complain about the Left making all their assumptions about Trump's collusion with Russia, why not a benefit of a doubt here about the unfounded allegations against McCain?

Unless there's no doubt it is not unfounded.

Thank you for clearing that up for the simple-minded Among Us. No argument here.
Factual replies are so very important as we move towards the 2020 election.

Dying does not make McCain a saint. The dossier was paid for by hillary and her party of criminals. So exactly what are you trying to say? McCain needed no help looking like an a-hole.

Just to stay straight, didn't the RNC originally commission digging up dirt on Trump? Which was abandoned once he was their candidate.

Word...
At least I've been consistent from the start,
...he was a joke of a pilot having crashed possibly more jets than any military pilot in history due to pilot errors.
...he was under a cloud of breaking under torture and disclosing bombing alleys which was covered by the military because of the optics of having already hailed him as a hero
...way too much information surfaced about the Forrestal aircraft carrier incident he sparked off jerking around with "hot shotting" the jet behind him. His admiral daddy had him off the Forrestal and on his ship within hours, while shutting the incident down.
...as an elected politician he was involved in the Keating scandal and plead guilty
...he was known to have anger management issues and ran tirades
...he left his wife after cheating on her she was injured badly and disfigured, after she stuck with him when he was MIA

The guy had no redeeming factors, he was a pure POS

Ah, guilty until proven innocent then. You do realize that our legal system supposedly says otherwise do you not? We are always being told that one is to be presumed innocent until proven guilty. According to our Constitution, "No person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law".

Constitution wrote:
Amendment V
No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.
