A DEA officer stops at a ranch in the Texas Panhandle and meets with Archie Bunker. From the very first moment, the agent had a bad attitude towards the Texan, annoyed that he had to muddy his clean boots out in the country.
He tells Bunker, "I need to inspect your ranch for illegally-grown drugs."
Arch says, "Alright, you can search the ranch, but do not go in that field over there."
The DEA officer, clearly angry, says, "Mister, I have the authority of the Federal Government with me."
Reaching into his rear pants pocket, he removes his badge and proudly displays it to our buddy Arch.
"See this badge? DO you?!? This badge means I am allowed to go wherever I wish, on any land, no questions asked or answers given. Have I made myself clear? Do you understand me?!?" He shouts.
Being a Texas gentleman, Bunker quietly nods, apologizes, and goes about his chores.
A short time later, our friend hears loud screams and sees the DEA officer running for his life chased by the Bunker's big Santa Gertrudis Bull. With every step the bull is gaining ground on the officer, as he runs for all he's worth.
Archie Bunker throws down his tools, runs to the fence and yells at the top of his lungs:
"Your badge... Show him your BADGE!!!"

It does seem that way, huh
I guess we both see Arch as a stereotypical Texan.
Nice story...
Might be another chicken moment for Archie...
Wouldn't want that bull to injure himself ...

It was actually a Longhorn bull, but that's neither here, nor there. That gubmint agent got his comeuppance!
Ferrous
Loc: Pacific North Coast, CA
Too bad it was a Longhorn... all skin and bones with mostly horns.
Father-in-Law raise prized Santa Gertrudis (about 2,000 head) and the meat was Prime Texas Beef... His BBQ Brisket was Heaven.
