Over the last few weeks it has become obvious Trump is loosing Republican support in the house and senate. It’s a slow withdrawal but it’s beginning to happen and it will now be difficult for Trump to forfill his promises. After all he had total control over Congress and was only able to get one piece of major legislation passed. He has used the Executive orders to repeal certain issues but most are in the court system and have not taken effect to date.

Republicans have stepped up in the senate by approving a resolution sponsored by Democrats to cut off funding for the Saudi-Led coalition in Yemans bloody civil war.
Republicans joined Democrats to build a bipartisan majority which senators viewed as a chance to rebuke Trump for his response to the murder of a US journalist

It appears that Democrats now have Enough votes in the senate to vote down Trumps emergency declaration to use $5.8 billion in defense funds to build his border wall. 5 republicans have gone public to vote with democrats, possibly more republicans will vote to overturn Trumps veto.

Democrats in the house have voted to make the Muellar report public. Trump is trying to bury this report. It also appears at this time there are a number of republicans that appear supporting this legislation. Why would any American approve of Trump burying this report.

But Trumps slump is ongoing.
Trump lost the shutdown fight to Pelosi, so he invokes Emergency action and circumvents Congress. Trumps promise to build a wall from sea to shining sea and Mexico will pay. We ended with a government shutdown and Trumps EO creating national emergency in an attempt to circumvent congress.

Trump after two Summits has lost the fight to North Korea. Satellite photos clearly show North Korea did not stop but are clearly expanding there capabilities.

Looks like he will loose in the senate over the emergency declaration he will veto this bill.

Trumps had a lot of bold promises during his campaign from infrastructure to deficit spending reduction that he has failed to deliver on.

I was doing some reseach on Trump and found an interview with a Question that was asked to Trump

Question: Mr Trump do you believe in raising taxes on the wealthy.

Trumps answer: (I DO) ( I DO) believe in raising taxes even on myself. My tax cut plan will lower taxes for all middle class families. We all know that his tax cut plan came no where close to lowering middle class taxes when 85% of his tax plan went to the upper 1% of wage earners in this country. And it accomplished just the opposite to cut the deficit and his tax plan became deficit financed by $2.4 trillion.

I also found where he promised legislation to administer block grants to all states. Which I thought was a good idea. Give block grants to states and let the states administer there priorities as there needs for Medicaid.

Create Healthcare legislation for all Americans at an affordable price. His promise was repeal and replace. Trump has offered no replacement legislation other than to repeal Obamacare. (TRUMP QUOTE I NEVER REALIZED THAT HEALTHCARE WAS SO DIFFICULT)

Trump promised to propose legislation to invest over ten years a $1.4 trillion infrastructure bill. Trump for over two never mentioned infrastructure but he is now beginning to talk about infrastructure again.

Trump promised to break up Americans largest banks. That was totally forgotten and after the election there has been no talk about breaking up banks other than Trumps slow move to break up the consumer protection agency which he promised to keep and expand on consumer protection. Consumer protection actions are down by 80% since Trump took office.

Trump promised legislation, price control on Drugs. Cost of drugs have been rising and Trump has not proposed any legislation on cost of drugs.

Trump also promised to release his taxes. Not a chance of that happening but it appears the democratic controlled house will be able to get his tax returns. This could clear up a lot of aligations that have been lodged against Trump from using foreign money with his businesses, money laundering, Bank fraud, Insurance fraud, tax fraud which Trump calls fake news. Why would Trump not release his taxes if he has done nothing wrong. All these problems go away.

Trump promised to put his wealth and businesses into a blind trust. He put it into a trust fund but not a blind trust and also put his son’s Eric and Don Jr in charge of the trust.

Trump promised the American people that he would be happy to sit down and testify under oath with Muellar to clear up all this fake news about his campaign staff. Yes Mr Trump sit down with Muellar and clear up all these investigations.

So Trump has been in office over two years, with 100% control of the House and Senate and had only one piece of legislation to his accomplishments. His tax cut bill that during his campaigned was to raise the taxes on the wealthy and create a massive tax cut for the middle class. A colossal failure

He made promises to balance our trade agreements. Trade imbalance has done nothing but increase to the highest rate in the history of the country to $854 billion and this country is now in a world trade war. His tariff agenda a colossal failure.

There were many Americans that voted for Trump based on these promises. So his campaign is gearing up for 2020 what will he promise the American people because he has failed on all his promises during his 2016 campaign.

I listened to a speech by Trump yesterday where he quoted if you vote for Hilliary Clinton we will spend the next 4 years of Clinton being investigation for many Scandels. Well we all know over the last 2 years Trump and his campaign staff have been investigated and there all headed to jail. (TRUMP QUOTE I WILL ONLY HIRE THE BEST PEOPLE) MANAFORT, Carter Page, Michael Flynn, Rick Gates, Roger Stone, are these the best he could find, also Trump has fired anybody that disagrees with him, unprecedented in American history Trump has fired more administration officials.

But the right wing points to one thing and the only piece of major legislation his tax cut bill that was promised to raise taxes on the wealthiest Americans and cut taxes for the middle class.

But in fairness to the Trump supporters that Trump created our great economy. Could you please tell the OPP bloggers what legislation has President Trump passed to create this economy.

In the last couple of decisions i have been pleasantly surprised to find that Roberts is more interested in maintaining the integrity of the court over fulfilling a right wing activist agenda. If it gets there while Trump is still in office my money is on Roberts denying the extraconstitutional power grab.

Maybe but which issue are you talking about the SCOTUS has already refused to hear a lot of Trumps actions and kicked it back to the lower courts.

You have to understand these justices believe in the rule of law. The conservative judges will not hear a case that they believe is in direct violation of our constitution. These conservative judges do not and will not expose themselves and go on record of voting for Trump when he clearly breaks our laws.

So you have to post what laws or EO that Trump has signed that you are talking about. Then we can debate constitution law.

In your post, I see a WHOLE LOT of “Trump this; Trump that” and more b!tching and complaining.

You reference VERY LITTLE regarding how the progs would do anything positive to benefit our nation. Just whining and groveling.

That’s the essence of the problem isn’t it? Your party doesn’t have the power, so, this is what you’re left with.

Your treatise seams to be a cry for help, or to be believed, and to convince others to join your “pain”. Okay. Here’s the best I’ve got:
GET OVER IT! This is the way things are going to be for the next six years!

Couple Democrat planks will be about Health care and the infrastructure.. Plenty more to add..

I see that the republicans see the success of the 2016 election based on decades of lies have already scripted the lies to be used for 2020..

GOPs never any policy but always no end of lies.. and it worked for them..

they will not change that strategy.. Until some prison time for key members..

I thought I was seeing something that indicated unanimous support with four republicans abstaining or voting not present...... yes here it is

https://thehill.com/homenews/house/434021-house-votes-for-mueller-report-to-be-made-public?userid=178778

It'll be interesting to see where the senate goes with this, will Bitch McConnell refuse to vote? I seriously doubt that... bad optics on hiding it from the public.

Don't worry about what you aren't seeing because your head is buried in rhetoric...

progs are looking at healthcare for all
fixing election fraud in red states that refuse to get with upgraded systems and controls
repealing tax cuts and eliminating special interest loopholes

Dems will spend tens of billions when the plan is well structured and defines what technologies should be used where appropriate.
