Hi! My name is Joan, I am a retired EA (enrolled agent enrolled to practice before the IRS). I was inactive for several years because I worked for the WI Department of Revenue as a revenue agent-compliance section. Have spent over 30 years either preparing tax returns for various clients, or collecting past due returns and delinquent tax. Not nearly as exciting as you might think, and certainly not as awful, either. All types of tax from sales and wh to income, trust fund and corporate. I am conservative socially and politically as well as religiously-I believe in a 6 day creation and a 6000 + year old earth. I am also a senior citizen, having retired over 10 years ago at 65. Married to my second husband since 2004, adult children and grandchildren and otherwise normal. I love horse racing, and was involved in local elective politics for several years. Love my country, and my God and family.

Hello Joan. Welcome to the forum. Jump in when you feel the urge. You will find people here can get downright passionate about some topics, which leads to tempers flaring.
Much better than the apathy that infects so much of the country.

You should fit right in here but there are getting to be more liberals on here as compared to when I first joined in 2013 but if you have a thick skin you can weather the storms and insanity's that they throw at you. Welcome Aboard and I will look forward to your posts Joan.

My name with the last name of my first husband being the w, and revagent, as it is supposed to be, stands for "revenue agent" which was my title from the Wisconsin Department of Revenue. I was the proverbial tax collector. But to be honest, it was not the collection I enjoyed so much, as the opportunity to help people resolve the problems they had with the tax department, both Fed and State. I sometimes worked with Revenue Officers (tax collectors) from the IRS.

I look forward to it. And if I do not have thick enough skin, I guess I will just have to grow it, huh?

Have you ever seen this?

The IRS is Not who you Think they are!

The IRS is not who you think they are, IRS agents are neither trained nor paid by the United States government. Pursuant to Treasury Delegation Order No. 92, the IRS is trained under the direction of the Division of Human Resources United Nations (U.N.) and the Commissioner (International), by the office of Personnel Management.

In the 1979 edition of 22 USCA 278, "The United Nations," you will find Executive Order 10422. The Office of Personnel Management is under the direction of the Secretary of the United Nations. Pursuant to Treasury Delegation Order No. 91, the IRS entered a "Service Agreement" with the US Treasury Dept (See Public Law 94-564, Legislative History, pg.5967, Reorganization (BANKRUPTCY!!!)Plan No. 26) and the Agency for International Development.

This agency is an international paramilitary operation and according to the Dept of the Army Field manual (1969) 41-10, pgs 1-4, Sec. 1-7(b) & 1-6, Sec. 1-10 (7) (c) (1), and 22 USCA 284, includes such activities as, "Assumption of Full or partial executive, legislative, and judicial authority over a country or area."

The IRS is also an agency/member of a 169 Nation pact called the International Criminal Police organization, or INTERPOL, found at 22 USCA 263a. The memorandum of Understanding (MOU), between the Secretary of Treasury, AKA the corporate governor of "The Fund" and "The Bank" (International Monetary Fund, and the International Bank of for reconstruction and Development), indicated that the Attorney General and it's associates are soliciting and collecting information for foreign principles; the international organizations, corporations, and associations, exemplified by 22 USCA 286f.

According to the 1994 US Government Manual, at page 390, the Attorney General is the permanent representative to INTERPOL, and the Secretary of Treasury is the alternate member. Under Article 30 of the INTERPOL constitution, these individuals must expatriate their citizenship. They serve no allegiance to the United States of America.

The IRS is paid by "The Fund" and "The Bank". Thus it appears from the documentary evidence that the Internal Revenue Service agents are "Agents of a Foreign Principle" within the meaning and intent of the "Foreign Agents Registration Act of 1938" for private, not public, gain !

The IRS is directed and controlled by the corporate Governor of "The Fund" and "The Bank". The Federal Reserve Bank and the IRS collection agency are both privately owned and operated under private statutes. The IRS operates under public policy, not the Constitutional Law, and in the interest of our nation's foreign creditors.

The Constitution only permits Congress to lay and collect taxes. It does not authorize Congress to delegate the tax collection power to a private corporation, which collects our taxes for a private bank, the Federal Reserve, who then deposits it into the Treasury of the IMF !

The IRS is not allowed to state that they collect taxes for the United States Treasury. They only refer to "The Treasury."

Then why do I make my checks out to the US Treasury when I pay my Federal Income Tax and send it to Cincinnati? I have known IRS agents and worked with them in several states, including Alaska, Wisconsin, and Colorado, both as preparer and collector, have sat with clients in audits and answered questions as to how the returns were prepared, and they were well trained, well educated on tax rules and regulations, and nearly all of them had accounting degrees. I once attended a meeting of tax protesters who stated that since our money is no longer backed by gold, it is not legal tender, therefore none of us makes income to be taxed. They call the money "Ferns"-Federal Reserve Notes. But if that is true, how does anyone purchase anything for themselves or their family? The dollars are legal tender by act of Congress, not by intrinsic value. So, I think I would be careful before buying into some of these scams and lies purported to be news. Tax collection became part of the Constitution in 1913 via the 16th amendment. Prior to that, the revenue act of 1861 was repealed in 1872. Most money was collected via tariffs. The Supreme Court upheld the right of taxation in Brushaber v Union Pacific Railroad. Back in the day when I got my cancelled checks returned, the stamp on the back showed the US Treasury. Can't imagine why they would send it to IMF. The IRS is a bureau of the Department of the Treasury. IRS was established in 1953. The Commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service is appointed to a 5 year term by the president. It has nothing to do with the UN or the World Bank. If there is some definitive proof that the UN controls the IRS and sends all of the tax collected to the IMF, I would like to see it. Give me real references that I can easily verify.

Welcome, Joan. You will meet many good people and make many good friends here. Things can get a bit crazy at times but just rest in peace with your faith, as I am sure you will. It has helped me at times to repeat aloud, "Be still, and know that I am God." Getting quiet before a response, not something I am perfect at (maybe terrible at), allows for that true "still, quiet voice" to emerge. And please have some fun.
