Mexico is somewhat similar. An American or Canuck needs a sponsor to rent (not buy) a property and but then there is not time limit and it can't be passed on. That was the way it was years ago, may have changed but I doubt it. Mexico had very strict control of who entered their country. Mike

The reason I mentioned that is I lived with UDT and SEALs for many years. In fact a bunch of them helped my brother and me build our parents house. They then were family and stayed at the house and kept gear there until my parents passed and the property was sold.
A former UDT member and I would cook the BBQ for the annual SEAL TEAMs picnics. Damn those were lots of fun. The stuff that would go on would amaze and shock most civilians. Wild, wild times, oh my gosh, to be that young and virile again. Mike
