There is also a law that doesn't apply here that made me think.
If you poke someone with your finger, it's called assault.
A policeman told me that once when I pointed my finger at my husband.
He knew I wasn't angry about anything, he just decided to bring it up.

You are correct. You can also get it for telling some one to sit down and shut up--That happend to a guy I once knew.

What a crock. The suit says that poor little Jason was singled out because he was white. Not true, he was singled out because he was a prick. I am sure the Post isn't losing any sleep over this one...

Either you were there or you believe everything said on the news. Why he didn't punch that drummer in the face is beyond me.

I know a guy that went to jail for 8 years for murder....of a dog.
Served him right.
We have strange laws in Texas.
If someone is trying to set your house on fire, you can stop them.
If they've already set it on fire, you can't touch them.
If someone is trying to rob your house, you can stop them.
If they're running off with something they stole, don't touch them.

Some one sets your house on fire, what should you do?
Break out the weenies and marshmallows...

I guess so.
My son was going to college to become a policeman.
He was reading off some of our strange laws.
I thought it was nuts.
He was even taught even criminals have good in them.
I don't agree they ALL have some good in them. Some are born to be evil.

All individuals have the potential for Good (God be praised, we were made in His image)..

But the right of defense (of self and property) is found in all the books of the Abrahamic religions...

That law sounds insane... (just my opinion)

If the bible says it, it's true. I can't argue about that.
We told my son we would probably break the law if we had to drag the person over the fence and back into the house.

Truly insane...

Would be interesting to see the history and evolution of this law...

We still have old ones on the books.
You can get hung for cattle rustling.
It would.
Some were no spitting on the sidewalk.
The husband has to walk on the outside of his wife if they're walking on the sidewalk.
It would be interesting to know.

It is to me too.
Of course, they say everything has a loophole.
I guess it might depend on judge and jury.

What kind of jury could convict you...

No I don't believe in bullying children . But those children by wearing the maga hats put themselve's right in the middle of it . The school and the parents should have told then not to wear Politically themed clothing Teach your children to be respectful of others

So if a woman wears a sexually provocative mini skirt, she should be raped?
Or if a homosexual wears a rainbow on his shirt, they should be beat up?
Or if a black man wears a Malcolm X Tee shirt, they should be attacked?
Or if a Jew wears a star of David around his neck, he should be attacked?

What is the difference if a person wears the MAGA Hat?

A Bully is a Bully. And when Adults support the Bully, then we must get a bigger Bully to check the first bully. Good for the Family of the Covington teen to sue the Washington Post, it's about time!

What is good for the Goose is good for the Gander! That is true freedom! Freedom of Speech, Assembly, and Religion!

Having your friends murdered is OK if you are not there in person...

Murder, Stealing, and Adultery is prohibited in all walks of life, therefore any Murder is evil, any Theft is evil, any Adultery is evil. But it is nice to see, for the first time in my lifetime, that Young Conservatives are standing up for what they believe in, and holding News Organizations responsible for what they write.

If a News Organization is going to cause a fight, then they will be fought. They will lose. Here's what I mean, People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
