Wow, that's awfully cold. Suppose your father murdered the family who lived in your childhood home and it was money from that murder that allowed you to achieve the quality of life you enjoy today?

We may not be able to make up for what our forefathers have done but we can at least acknowledge that it was the murder and thievery of our forefathers that allowed us to achieve the quality of life we enjoy today.

Do the descendants of the Aztec feel guilty about the Rivers of blood their ancestors drew from agonized living sacrifices? Do the Apache or Navajo in today’s America feel bad for the slaughter conducted against rival tribes by their ancestors? Do the modern descendants of Fiji natives feel guilty for the brutal acts of sacrifice and the worship of death in which their ancestors indulged? Do the modern Mongols feel guilty for their ancestors mass murder sprees, in which their ancestors killed so many people that whole forests grew where the bodies fell? Do the modern French and Germans feel guilty for the sacking of Rome and the final destruction of the Western Empire? Do the modern Cossacks feel guilty for their genocidal actions against the Jews? Do the British feel guilty for enslaving a third of the world and for the genocides they conducted on the Indian subcontinent? Do the Jews feel guilty for the slaughter of multiple tribes back in the ages of their kings? What about you? Do you feel guilty about the fact that your ancestors fully believed in slavery, murdered and raped other people, and thought that they were the superior race?

No. Of course not. Because to feel guilty for the actions of your ancestors is absurd. If you try to feel guilt for every bad thing done by a person in all of history who shares your skin tone/culture/ethnicity/nationality/religion/name/etc. you will quickly become depressed and non -functioning. There simply isn’t enough guilt to go around.

So go ahead and feel your guilt, petersucker, embrace it, let it consume you, let it eat at you, but don't expect everyone else to wallow in it with you...

I acknowledge what happened back in history as it was.. I didn’t say I didn’t.. I said its guilt by associstion I’m freed of... Wrong, yes, but not my or your doing....
We can’t change history, we can learn from it though...

It's a DESERT. Where you gonna get water? Think minefield. With suitably located guillotines for the survivors' convenience

Wallow

Wallow-an area of mud or shallow water where mammals, like pigs, go to wallow, typically developing into a depression in the ground over long use. Or as in your phony guilt...

Get after it!

Are you actually advocating for an invasion of America?

Where did that come from?

Premise A: The immigrants from Europe were fleeing persecution/ seeking economic opportunity/ were brought by their parents.... The American Indian's efforts to prevent being 'invaded' were immoral and unjust...

Premise B: The original settlers were invaders and cruelly conquered the native people... In which case Americans should absolutely resist invasion from outside forces...

I don't believe in collective guilt... The natives were essential to the development and creation of all of the New World countries...

Atrocities, both real and perceived, were a part of history and not particular to any one group... As Buffalo so directly pointed out...

I am not sure where your statement originated from...
