If our Government run schools taught what they should teach our kids and the last 3 generations would know this. But sadly they do not.

I listened to a piece by O Reilly concerning racism on utube. So dogmatically true.

This video is a piece of bullshit propaganda. Argentina was the 4th wealthiest nation in the world at the end of WWII. It was not the socialist policies of the government that caused its economic collapse.

IT WAS THE RAMPANT AND WIDESPREAD CORRUPTION OF POLITICIANS AND THEIR PRIVATE MILITARIES CONDUCTING GUERILLA WARFARE AGAINST AVERAGE CITIZENS. The fever and the appetite were for taking over profitable businesses, especially those of medium size, whose owners were incapable of withstanding the blitzkrieg. Corrupt cronies were put in all key positions of the government and the congress to secure the flanks of the main thrust—the private millionaire business carried out by the president and her inner circle. These Taliban-thinking guys were part of a movement called La Campora, after the excuse of a president that resigned to clear Peron’s path to a new period after 18 years of exile. Whoever stood in their way received “visits” from the IRS or (the “money laundering” unit), in order to give them a very clear message that facing La Campora was not a good idea.

Millions of citizens without voice witnessed a few becoming richer and richer at their expense and making mockery of the legal system, the Constitution and everything a democracy stands for. With the economy almost completely in their hands, criminals running freely in the streets robbing and killing people at their pleasure, inflation going higher and higher, and government officials telling the population that they were hallucinating when they complained about insecurity.

Like the video revealed "The government's practice of printing money to payoff its public debts crushed the economy...By 1994 Argentina's public pensions, the equivalent of Social Security had imploded"
The truth was that after private pension funds had been raided and stolen by corrupt politicans enriching themselves they dis the same to their equivalent of our Social Security.

Yes if any of this sounds familiar, that is because it is. US politicians and their corporate godfathers have enriched themselves at the expense of the average US citizen. They just keep telling us the we are "hallucinating" and the shit just has not hit the fan yet. But it is coming. It is not the system's fault, it is the fault of greedy politicians and their corporate masters in a corporate/government collusion.

I had a family working for me in the 80's that were from Argentina. The guy owned over 50 buses, had a thriving business. In one of their political coups he had a military type put a rifle in his face and ask if he preferred to sign over all of his buses or die right then and there. They raped both his daughter and wife and killed the daughter when they were done.

He and his wife did print shop hand folding work for me, I truly admired his spirit and willingness to work reliably and hard, these were truly nice people.

They had gotten legal political refugee status as casualties of a country gone toxic

The only difference in the US and Argentina is politicians, more in particular, the POTUS has not used a personal army to confiscate the wealth of its citizens, although his Oliness came close when vowed to change America and have his private army. US politicians with the help of their corporate godfathers just do it in a more subtle way by using legislation to "make it legal".

Look what they have done to Social Security. All social programs are blamed for the financial woes of the intentionally mismanaged government finances, yet, not surprisingly has one word been uttered about the TRILLIONS of tax dollars the military has mismanaged, stolen, used to enrich the elite of the military industrial corporations by conducting continued , illegal, unConstitutional, immoral warmongering for 50 years.

For proof of this one only has to look at the ever widening wealth gap of the last few decades and the resulting disappearance of the middle class.

The twisted truth was the narrative the CIA told. Tell, then what part of what really happened in Argentina was twisted?

The video was the what twisted the truth...no...was flat out lies.

Tell me the exact same thing, crushing debt, ever widening wealth gap, corruption in government is not happening in the US with the exception of the guerilla warfare against the citizenry, at least now yet.

The process that takes countries down is just like life, it starts out nice and grows into something weird. It is normal, it happened to Rome, Spain, Greece, England (remember the Sun never sets on the Empire), It's happening to America now. We want free, we want free everything. The folks that work hard and invest are the bad guys, we need to take everything they have. Now if only we have an education system that told the true facts we may save America.

What's happening in America right now is that the wealthiest want more and they don't want to pay any taxes. It is the greed at the top that takes countries down. Reinstate pre Bush tax cut rates, end special interest write offs and subsidies that benefit the wealthy, cap the mortgage write offs to a reasonable ceiling like $800k, any more gets no write off because anyone with a house like that doesn't need the help...

Increase revenues and nothing changes except the deficit goes down, spending does not increase because more money is coming in. Clinton raised taxes and created a budget surplus.

The right sounds like morons when they object to taxes because "they will just spend more"

What true facts are we missing right now?

Millions of people and many not legal get SS/disability which pays even more. Many are kids, it has been turned into a welfare system, never set up for this. It was designed for old people, not kids whos parents are scammers.
