I have noticed that there is a trend to classify certain individuals as either 'liberals' or 'conservatives'...

And that many individuals here at the OPP feel that they are misclassified...

Indeed, I myself have on several occasions been corrected as to an individual's personal classification of themselves...

So... To all members of the OPP... In your opinion what exactly defines an individual as being a 'liberal' or a 'conservative'?

Please note that I did not reference either the word 'Democrat' or the word 'Republican'...

Your civil input is always appreciated...

Well let's see, Sending Billions of Dollars overseas to foreign governments that violate Human Rights on a daily basis is not very conservative now is it.
Fighting to have open borders, while dealing with the problems that it brings, is definitely not conservative now is it.
Oh I could go on but let's here an example from you first, kinda of a quid pro quo, if you will.

A lefty is a radical and knowingly or unknowingly supports a National Socialist Democratic Party that is in American.
A Democrat usually a well meaning voter who does not realize the Democratic party has been hijacked by the Left.
A Republican today is closer to the old fashion Democrat.
A MAGA voter is closer to the voter of the WWII generation.
A Trumpster supports Trump, no matter what.

My Apologies....
I may like or dislike a certain post...
But I don't participate in my own posts...
The idea is for me to learn and expand my understanding of terms that have begun to lose definitive meanings...

Your input is always welcome..

Websters definition: Conserve
To protect something, especially an environmentally or culturally important thing from harm or destruction.
So Fundamentally Changing the Culture of America is not very conservative now is it.

Well then, shielding yourself from your own topic in not protecting something culturally important. Sorry that does not sound very conservative now does it
Sorry for wasting your time and mine.

Agreed... The desire to change the fundamentals of a culture would not be considered 'conservative' by most individuals...

Not at all...
I wish to learn...
Were I to give my definitions then it is almost a certainty that individuals would attempt to debate my opinions rather than share theirs... Which in turn would nulify the purpose of my post...

Your input is valued... As it allows me (and others, hopefully) to reevaluate our positions on the topic...

I am also prefer the concept of small government... Not sure if I would conflate socialism and communism... Though the advent of the first certainly has the potential to herald the second...
Thank you...

Your friend, Kyle

Hit the wrong button... This is in response to my lovely friend 'proud replublican'...

Indeed...
And socialism is the first step towards communism...
But one may have a socialist country without having a communist country....
Take the nordic states for example... Or even my homeland...
There are benefits to certain socialist policies...
Although, personally, I'll take a capitolist society any day...
