Top secret plan to replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg
http://click2.thehornnews.com/t/Ag/lAg/AAE3GA/-e8/AAHDrg/ABlWlg/AQ/Rz66

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is still recovering from her cancer surgery in December, and on Thursday missed her third day of oral arguments at the Supreme Court this year. The court has also refused to give an estimation on when Ginsburg is expected to return.
Doctors say Ginsburg will make a full recovery. Legal experts insist the 85-year-old justice is simply working from home. And she has reportedly hired clerks for the term that extends into 2020, indicating Ginsburg has no plans to leave soon.
Behind the scenes, though, things are much different — and very subtlety, the power players in Washington, D.C. have started to prepare for the next vacancy on the U.S. Supreme Court.
Within both conservative legal circles and the White House counsel’s office, plans have quietly been put into place in the event that Ginsburg suddenly retires — or her failing health takes another downturn.
Of course, this isn’t anything the mainstream media will report on. When asked publicly, Ginsburg and her doctors say they are very confident that she’ll return soon.
“I think a lot of people are getting scared because they are concerned about the balance of the court, but I’m confident she’s not going anywhere,” Raja Flores, the chief of the division of thoracic surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, told CNBC. “She’s going to be back on the court.”
Privately, however, the situation is being treated much more seriously.
“Gingerly preparations are underway, not just for Ginsburg but for any SCOTUS retirement,” a source with ties to the Supreme Court told The Daily Caller.
Behind the scenes, the preparation for another nomination to the high court by President Donald Trump has already been completed by the White House.
If Ginsburg were to resign her position, it would give the Trump administration a third opportunity in as many years to push the court even further right. The front-runner to replace Ginsburg is reportedly Amy Coney Barrett, a conservative and pro-life judge currently serving on the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
“Like his previous pick, Justice Neil M. Gorsuch, she’s young (46), good on her feet, telegenic, unmistakably conservative and, with seven children, has the kind of family you want sitting behind you during tense confirmation hearings,” The Washington Post wrote about Barrett last year. “Unlike Gorsuch, of course, she’s a woman — a fact that could help mitigate the onslaught of questions about whether she would help overturn Roe v. Wade.”
Will she, or another conservative judge, get a chance on the supreme court this year?
Only time will tell.

This post proves the fallacy and danger of politicizing what is meant to be apolitical; the statement "a third chance in as many years to PUSH THE COURT FURTHER TO THE RIGHT". This trend alone could spell the end of the grand experiment.

Only time will tell defines so much of todays’ political climate...

While I no longer respect Ginsburg I believe all the speculation over she returning or not should be left alone.. She is 85 years and just went through a complicated surgery for anyone .. She deserves some privacy in her recovery period and be left alone right now..

It reminds me of vultures flying overhead waiting for her passing...Appauling really...

Prepare I understand but do it discreetly and for crying out loud leave the women alone at least right now...

Common sense should prevail in her own judgement. The writing is on the wall. If she doesn't believe it's time to gracefully hang up her robe, other decisions are in question too.

She just needs to last a year, the senate dosn’t allow presidents to appoint justices on their last year in office. They insist that it is important to allow the next presidential election decide the direction of the court.

We have had socialist court since Ike gave the court to earl warren. It was the worst possible choice he could have made. WE suddenly had the court making law instead of deciding if laws passed by the congress
are constitutional and that is their only job. Now they have become dictators in their own right.

How many years has she been on the bench?

How many majority opinions has she written?

What makes/made her a “great woman”?

Isn’t that unconstitutional?

Didn’t you guys just get done bitching and moaning about Merrick Garland? Oh forgot, that was different...

Besides, Trump will have four more years to nominate.
