Doesn’t work that way when the Presidents Party controls the Senate. Your goose is cooked. Might as well eat it.

As long as liberals/Democrats can keep Ruth Ginsberg on life support, she will be left there.
Senility?
No problem.

Not a fan of her views but give her her due. Her head is bloody but unbowed. She’s something else.👍

She is that. Something else. The right thing would be for her to gracefully bow out. But won’t happen. When it does we’ll be bombarded by the media stories about her for days. Will be worse than all the coverage of former President Bush’s funeral.

Ruth Bader Ginsberg makes surprise move (health MELTDOWN!?)

In a move that has shocked insiders, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has announced she will miss oral arguments for the first time in more than 25 years Monday. She continues to recuperate from last month’s lung cancer surgery.

The stunning move has confirmed rumors that Ginsburg’s health is in a downward spiral — and led to speculation on whether the 85-year-old justice will resign.

Court spokeswoman Kathy Arberg said Monday the 85-year-old Ginsburg is continuing to recuperate and work from home after doctors removed two cancerous growths from her left lung on Dec. 21.

Ginsburg was discharged from a New York hospital on Christmas day but still isn’t well enough to work.

Should the court’s eldest justice call it quits, it would give President Donald Trump a historic third Supreme Court nomination in just two years.

Ginsburg had two earlier cancer surgeries in 1999 and 2009 that did not cause her to miss court sessions. At her advanced age, Ginsburg’s recovery could be long and difficult.

She also has broken ribs on at least two occasions, including just two months ago.

The court said doctors found the growths on Ginsburg’s lung when she was being treated for fractured ribs she suffered in a fall at her office on Nov. 7.

“The Supreme Court justices are back on the bench Monday for the first time in the new year. The court will hear arguments in two cases. The first is a battle over the preemption federal and state laws and the second case is over whether fair debt collection laws apply to nonjudicial foreclosures, which do not require a court’s approval,” The Hill reported.

What are your thoughts?

Is it time for Ruth Bader Ginsburg to resign and enjoy her remaining years?

Or should she continue to work despite her rapidly failing health?

Is it time for Ruth Bader Ginsburg to retire?

No one should have tenure, everyone should be on term limits.

I agree. Whether or not you like her politics she is a tough lady and I believe she's doing what she thinks is best for this country.

Now now, stop giving ideas to the dems. They will probably try it and as far as I know such an act is not prohibited by the constitution or other authority. (sigh)

I'm with you on the hope she recovers. Not so sure on the dignity and honor thing. I consider many of her rulings and dissenting opinions Anti-Constitutional. She was also much more of an activist judge than interpreter of laws via the Constitution.

I can’t possibly believe that she even thinks she’s doing what’s right for the country.

I think I've heard she does not like Trump and is not going to give him another judge if she can help it!

OMG, can you imagine how CNN & MSNBC will carry on? It will be way worse than Bush’s funeral. It could last a couple weeks. And all the talking heads about how Trump should be disqualified from picking the next justice, because he’s an illegitimate president, who is a racist, and on and on with the same old nonsense. I wonder how childish the democrats will act during the next confirmation hearings?
