It seems that , with each new individual I encounter , my understanding of the word "racism" is continuously changing...
It is facinating how individuals of different generations , cultures , religions , sexes , races , educational and economic backgrounds , and nationalities define this word...
One can of course consult a dictionary , but it is the nuances and shadings that seem to redefine its meaning on individual levels...
Below are some of the questions I often find myself musing?
I would be over-joyed to learn from the view points and life experiences of my brothers and sisters on the OPP...
Please feel free to answer all or none of my questions and know that I respect and value your opinions without judgement..

Questions:

1. What does the word racism mean to you personally?

2. Who can be considered a racist?

3. What specific acts fall under the title of racism?

4. Is there a place for racism in a free society?

5. How can racism be identified?

6. Would you consider yourself a racist by your own definition?

Thank you to all who have taken the time to read and respond to my queries...

Happy New Year and God bless

It seems that , with each new individual I encount... (show quote)

Questions:

1. What does the word racism mean to you personally? Race, to me, is the consideration/belief that there are different evolutionary tracks among creatures within the same species. Racism is a political 'ism' like all the others. It has a proscribed dogma, (as opposed to legitimate scientific study), establishing the subjective worth of a race (worth as opposed to characteristics). Like any political creed, racism is subject to manipulation by the political hierarchy for its own ends.

2. Who can be considered a racist? ANYONE/everyone who underwrites the dogma.

3. What specific acts fall under the title of racism? Any and all acts in line with the dogma.

4. Is there a place for racism in a free society? There is no place for racism in a civilized society. Racism must be separated from cultural animosity or behavioral distinctions. Competing culture is the most damaging and volitile influence in any society. The concept of multi-culturalism is social suicide.

5. How can racism be identified? Know the dogma and you can recognize it practitioners.

6. Would you consider yourself a racist by your own definition? No.

1) To see yourself as superior to others based on racial or ethnic makeup.
2) The most blatant are the Neo-Nazi's such as those who marched in Charlotteville.
3) The slaughter of Jews in a synagogue in New Jersey.
4) No, none what so ever...
5) Overtly by observing groups such as the Neo-Nazis but convertly by actions such as singling out Obama over his birth certificate.
6) No, but I am based on projection used by conservatives...

maybe if you look hard enough you might find it in places where people gather to eat and socialize.
Or you may turn to monuments that teach the history of the United States. It may be there.
Or in the schools where political correctness is placed before the learning process. If you look hard enough, you might find it there.
Or you might find it strategically placed on the desk of our president, in the stacks of paperwork that are just waiting for a comment from Mr. Trump, so you can pounce on his reaction. Maybe you will find it there.
Where ever it waits to be uncovered, I am sure that people like yourself will expose it, and force it into the public eye.
Good luck in your search to destroy America.

Dear sir...

I apologize if my post was mistaken for some sort of political statement...
I can assure you that it was not intended as such...
I am truly seeking to gain a deeper understanding of the meaning of racism as my brothers and sisters understand it...
I have no political agenda in this post...
Thank you for your interest and I look forward to a deeper understanding of your definition...

Happy New Year "Mr Weasel"

I did not catorgize it as a Political Statement, but rather another Social Experiment carried out by the Left to confuse the minds of our young as they try to grow up in a peaceful environment.

In either case you (by my standards) would have been incorrect...
Would you care to share your understanding with me?
Private message would be perfectly acceptable if the public forum is not to your preference...

Your point of dogma was well displayed by another thread in reply that believing and voicing "Obama's birth certificate". Criticism of a race forging a document is blatant racism under the assumption the one critizing is white. Personally after viewing the released birth certificate, then reviewing the many experts multi point revelations why it is a forgery, then verifying the validity of each point, did come to the conclusion that the birth certificate is in fact a forgery.
Now with consideration to the claim, stating Obamas birth certificate is a forgery with uninformed ignorance to my own race and knowing Obama is half black and half white. Am I racist towards the white Obama or the black Obama?
Your point of dogma politically driven is not to be ignored as simply opinion.
I would add that the weak minded, uniformed apologist for being white, have confused bias with racism.

Great point

Racist: Any person who has an opinion or desire.

Simple case in point: When you go into a KFC you are a racist because you chose it instead of Taco Bell.

You are a hard core racist if in your opinion white meat over dark meat is more desirable.

Conversely, the opposite will also make you racist.

In conclusion: I am a deplorable racist who desires to wake up in the morning with an opinion.

A perfect example of spreading racism where people gather to eat and socialize.
(#-keep racism alive) Socialism at its best.

The most damaging racism in the world today is the hatred for white people, because we're supposed to loathe our own existence.

I'll respond to #6 Canuck As a very young lad in the early 1930s,being from a poor family and living just across the rail road tracks from the black community,I often played with black boys around my own age.
however as I grew older I was informed by my peers that the black folks were less human than we whites and I found myself shunning those boys who used to be my friends
At this time in my life racism was not heard,it was just an established way of life
The blacks really had very few of the rights that we whites enjoyed
they had to sit in the back of the bus or trolley
they could not drink out of the same public fountains that the whites did
they were expected to be back over the rail road in their part of town before dark and still there wasn't that much racial tension
don't think things changed much until after WW2 when the blacks started getting some equal rights
then we started hearing the word 'racism'
In my life I have met many folks both black ,brown.and white
There seems to be an equal mix of good and bad in all races
I do feel that I am no racist
I feel that we are all here together and we should respect what a man does
not what color he is
