How, in the name of Yahweh, can the Vicar of Christ, Father Steve Josoma, Deacon Larry Bloom, and the parish staff justify turning the birth of Jesus into a political protest? I reckon these fools should read Paul's letter to the church in Galatia,
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.Paul admonished the Galatians,
Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace."Unaccompanied alien child" (UAC) is a technical term defined by law as a child who (A) has no lawful immigration statÂus in the United States; (B) has not attained 18 years of age; and (C) with respect to whom—(i) there is no parent or legal guardian in the United States; or (ii) no parent or legal guardian in the United States is available to provide care and physical custody; or (lll) arrived at the border unaccompanied by a parent or legal guardian." Due to their vulnerability, these young migrants receive certain protections under U.S. law.
According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection records, during the years 2009 through 2015, 180,000 unaccompanied alien children were encountered at the border. Between October 1, 2014 and April 30, 2015, CBP apprehended 3,514 unaccompanied minors (UAC) from El Salvador, 6,607 from Guatemala, 1,977 from Honduras, and 6,519 from Mexico. This represents approximately a 45 percent decrease from the same time period the prior year.
The Border Protection services does not incarcerate or otherwise imprison unaccompanied children, they hold them in protective custody until their individual situations can be resolved.
But this? God have mercy.
