Kevyn is what is known as a liberal Democrat hater. I don't mean that he hates Democrats, he just hates anyone not a Democrat. Or, more accurately, he hates anyone who likes Trump. So there you have it. Welcome to OPP. Glad to have you, Bcon. Merry Christmas.

A merry Christmas and a happy new year to you and all believers who post here. To the rest, happy holidays.

I agree, how else could trump get elected.

The Democrats could continue to run Hillary till she dies and they would never win.

I don't consider myself stupid because I would never vote for that one.

This works too... Of course it will never happen unless an Article V is achieved..These criminal politicians aren’t going to limit their time in the elitist class they are trying to develop...

Career politicians are the problem!! We all know it and we complain but don’t act on it!! We get what we allow...

Ok lady you have given me another chance to tell people why this Article V crap is just that. I wonder how many people know what caused our Constitution to be written. The Congress of the Articles of Confederation called a legal meeting to consider some changes in the Articles and the first decision that bunch made was to write a whole new document which resulted in that document we call the Constitution. I fear this Article V movement because I don't know how many lefties would be appointed to it. I fear the fact that they may just write a whole new thing based on left leaning thinking. I am not sure the State Legislatures would agree to it but do wonder how many people with all the millennials and others like them might drive hard to get the new document.

I agree that the Congress will never propose term limits and they have proposed all of the Amendments but we don't have a terrible jumble that way.

"Sure that's what we need, a Congress of Amateurs." - Bad Bob

One of the reasons the The founders designed the Constitution was to stay away from career politicians.
House of Representatives - 2 years (for a reason )
President- 4 years
Senators - 6 years (1/3 every 2 years )
Supreme Court For life (OOPS?)

There was a reason about judges being for life. It had to do with them being free to do what they had to without politics controlling them.

I only read at Wikipedia when linked there and do wonder if you read much of your linked article. I found these words and am not enamored of them.

According to a Harvard study, "the expenses for documentation, travel, and waiting time [for obtaining voter identification cards] are significant—especially for minority group and low-income voters—typically ranging from about $75 to $175. When legal fees are added to these numbers, the costs range as high as $1,500."[49][50] So even if the cards themselves may be free, the costs associated with obtaining the card can be expensive.[49] The author of the study notes that the costs associated with obtaining the card far exceeds the $1.50 poll tax outlawed by the 24th amendment in 1964.[50]

Here in Kansas there are lots of places where people can get driver licenses, picture IDs. For those who don't drive they can get the ID free. Now only people of the far left, like you, would think that people never go to town. These words talk about how much the card would cost but we don't charge anything unless you are getting a driver license, that costs me $13.

Did you go far enough in your link to see the map about who requires people to show IDs. May I suggest that neither New York or California, the sources of so many Hillary votes requires that kind of thing.

The use of that Harvard study points left, to me. I say that the whole article reads pretty left.

I agree with you on that one. Don’t give them a chance to screw up the best set of well thought out laws. They try now thru the judiciary. The constitution is just as it should be. It is not a living document that can be changed at will.

Thank you. Steamboat Springs seems like an interesting place. I would love to visit there. Colorado is one of two continental states that I have never been to. I always plan to go, but so far something always happens to put the kibosh on my plan.

Jim Jones was from Indiana. As a child he was obsessed with religion and eventually with death he was just passing through San Francisco and picked up a bunch of followers and led them to their deaths on a spectrum he would fall on the extreme far right
