Comparing Obama and Trump

Consider the contrast between Barack Obama and Trump. Obama is not a perfect human being, nor was he a perfect US president. But it’s impossible to deny his qualities. He is intelligent, competent, witty, plain-speaking, empathetic and has a loving relationship with his family. Obama is also a man who was not born into wealth and power, and worked hard to make something of his life. Trump is the reverse: incompetent, mendacious, rude and seemingly incapable of non-instrumental relationships. The only way he has made anything of his life is through being born into privilege, with sufficient reserves of family capital to allow him to build a “business” based on little more than bragging.

Aside from his politics, Trump is simply a man who falls short of any moral code you could care to imagine. Politicians are often cynical, cruel or corrupt, but a complete absence of human decency is rare. Even George W Bush can pass sweets to Michelle Obama and paint loving portraits of the soldiers he sent off to die.

But for millions of Americans to choose Trump and to continue to support him cannot simply be dismissed as voters “holding their noses” and selecting the individual who could best forward their agenda, regardless of his personal qualities. For a significant proportion of his supporters, it was a deliberate choice for moral degeneracy, even a celebration of it. It is also a reproach to the Obama years and to Obama personally. A bad white man will always be better than a good black man, regardless of the political platforms they support.

Black and white. That is what he is talking about. Obama nearly killed this country and President Trump is making it great again.

Consider the contrast between Barack Obama and Tru... (show quote)

Here is a warning trumpy gave obammy:

President Donald Trump sent a message to Democratic House leaders and former President Barack Obama on Wednesday — and it made everyone in the room sit-up and listen.

If the new House Democrats decide to spend 2019 launching needless investigations into the White House, Trump has his own plan.

He threatened to make public all the information about Obama’s wiretapping of Trump Tower during the 2016 presidential campaign — and what Trump said that what these documents contain is shocking.

Before the election, House Minority Speaker Nancy Pelosi claimed to have a “hit-list” of 85 investigations that Democrats were planning to use to grind the Trump administration to a halt.

Instead of governing and growing the economy, Trump and his team would be stuck answering an endless stream of subpoenas and legal requests.

Conservative lawmakers called the plan “stomach churning” and warned voters that giving Pelosi control of the House would unleash “chaos” in 2019. Still, Pelosi won — and may even retake her speaker seat.

In typical Trump fashion, the president went on the offensive — and warned that Democratic lawmakers weren’t ready to pay the “heavy price” that a slug-fest with the Oval Office would cost.

Trump even challenged them to try.

“If they go down the presidential harassment track, if they want go and harass the president and the administration, I think that would be the best thing that would happen to me,” Trump said in an interview with The New York Post. “I’m a counter-puncher and I will hit them so hard they’d never been hit like that,”

The president said he would declassify the Obama administration’s FISA warrant applications and other secret documents involving special counsel Robert Mueller.

The documents would expose that the FBI, Obama’s Justice Department, and the failed presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton all conspired against Trump during the election, he said.

“I think that would help my campaign. If they want to play tough, I will do it,” Trump said. “They will see how devastating those pages are.”

A group of Republican lawmakers, led by New York Rep. Lee Zeldin, asked Trump to declassify the documents in September. They claimed at the time the information would undermine the legitimacy of Mueller’s investigation, which Trump has repeatedly called a political “witch hunt.”

But the president said he was holding onto the documents as a defensive tactic to discourage Democratic lawmakers from using the “legal hell” tactic post-election.

“It’s much more powerful if I [release the documents] then. Because if we had done it already, it would already be yesterday’s news,” Trump told The Post.

Nice try Kevvy! but I was so repulsed by Mr. Obama. He lacked every quality you ascribed to him.. Many like Trump, He is doing much good for the nation and may go down as one of the best presidents in history!!! Keith Harris clearly does not see straight.

If your idiot Pumpkinfuhrer had any of this “secret information” he would have used it already rather than relying on his constant moronic lies. Hillary would be locked up as trumptards chant at his hatefest rallies. Trump has nothing and he and his crooked dealings are about to go under the spotlight and there isn’t a damn thing he or anyone else can do to stop it. Today Cohan, trumps fixer plead guilty and is throwing Trump under the bus. Trumps response is to laughably call him a liar.

Trump is open and honest to a flaw. Obama was a crafty liar.

Obama was seen as the one fighting against racism when he actually promoted it. Trump, considered racist by the never-Trumps, is the least racist of the two. One has run businesses and one hasn't. One dealt with New York in his businesses and proclaimed them to be less evil than politicians. LOL!

You really believe that? Open and honest, really?

That is a joke, hopefully you weren't serious. Trump ran businesses into the ground
