So much of the time on this forum is spent hurling angry remarks, name calling and belittling each other. I intended to lighten things up with the remark about the brain/body cross wire.
I am sorry for my comment, and you are right. If I had nothing to add or "considre" then I should not have commented. I will say that you are right about one other point, I stay in a good mood for 99.9 percent of my life.
As to the idea of my head in the sand, no little one, my head is first with my faith, second with my family, and third with business. Each has brought me riches beyond measure. For me, I will keep my cheerful mood because if all we think about is how horrible things are, then we will go to our graves miserable and lonely. We are given one opportunity in this life and body to be everything we were intended, I for one have no intentions of standing before God on judgment day and have him ask me why I squandered my life in misery.
Last thing, truth is powerful and right. However, truth is provable and not just one person's opinion. Truth is not happy being ignored, so it will repeat itself until people take notice, much like history. And there is the challenge, show to me in facts a time where there have not been "a bunch of power-hungry crooks" in our nation. There will always be people like yourself who view those that have succeeded as "crooks" but in reality, you too could have become successful. But, then others would be pointing a finger and saying, "Carolyn is nothing more than a power-hungry rich ^&%$$ who keeps her head buried in the sand."
I hope you have a wonderful day. And, again, you are right I had nothing of consequence to add to your posts. I intended no harm.

Then perhaps, since you are always in a wonderful mood until you read some truth that is posted here, you should just keep your head buried in that wonderful warm sand and allow our country to be taken control of by a bunch of power-hungry crooks that developed in crime city, USA.
Isn't that where Obama got his start in crooked politics?

President Obama actually submitted a budget OMG, of course the republicans said it was DOA and threw it back at him.
I was concerned because I saw a conservative article saying it proposes cutting retiree loop holes.
So I read what I could find and I see many items that if the republicans had proposed them the liberals would scream fowl.
Does it not seem interesting or even out of character for Obama to propose giving more people access to individual stock market tax deferred accounts with his new MYIR plan.

The last Obama budget proposal was so extreme that not only the republican side, but his own Senate Majority refused to pass it. The government has used continuing resolutions (CR's) as a simple way to continue unmanageable spending. Both sides are responsible.

This is not out of character for Obama at all. This is typical misinformation. No one and I mean no one is denied access to the market place, tax deferred or otherwise. There are literally hundreds of financial instruments for anyone who wants to participate. Some information on MYRA if youre interested.

Remember when Jesus said, "goats on the left, sheep on the right?"
When he said to Peter: If you want to catch fish cast your net on the right side of the boat. They did and filled the boat. Thus I have always wondered why it is that Conservatives have always been called the "right," and Democrats the "left."
By chance stumbled upon this verse in the Bible. "The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool inclines to the left." Ecclesiastes 10:2. Thus sayeth the Lord. Amen

NOT if we can't find a way to stop the democrats from stealing this election like they did the last one!

'Tis amazing. Politicians run on a platform that government doesn't work...and then have to prove themselves right by assuring that it doesn't.
What's even more amazing is that people vote for those who have to make sure it can't work or they'll lose their credibility with the people who elected them.
People should probably understand that when governments don't work...a nation ultimately collapses. Dysfunction has a price.
To be born a free man is an accident;
To live one a responsibility;
To die one an obligation.

How is it deflection? Jews are somehow immuned? I am a Judaphile since the age of fourteen, though this should have happened five years earlier. Jews are humans, yes? Ben, my next door neighbor and camp survivor, advised me about exceptionalism: no one is immuned from being human or being cruel. Or being wondrous and bringing great light.

What is a Judaphile, a follower of Judas? I'm serious, I don't know. It isn't in my dictionary.

It is a made up word. It must be broken down to basics.
Juda, the tribal territory of his descendants which became the nucleus of David's kingdom and, after the kingdom had been divided into Israel and Judah, the southern kingdom of Judah, with Jerusalem as its center. Better known as those Hebrews in S Palestine
Phile, Greek philos which means to love
So, if you link them together you get a person that has great love for S Palestine Hebrews.
Hope this helps.

She deflected a response, or to simplify she refocused the conversation to an issue that would be off subject or question at hand. I asked her a question, she chose not to respond to the question but to challenge my religious beliefs.
Wherein I made a statement that in my life, and the reason I can be happy 99.9 percent of the time is my priorities. First and foremost is my religion and God, second is my family, and then business. Just a very brief statement that is almost obscured in my comment. She highlighted this statement rather than responding to the larger question I proposed. It had nothing to do with "exceptionalism" or being "immuned" from anything.
I always tell people that it is helpful to get the entire history before one rushes into making critical statements. Often when people only read a two or three word response they may be missing a key ingredient in the conversation. In your case, had you read the exchanges then you would have better understood my comment regarding deflection.
Do have a wonderful day.
