When Trump first announced he was going to Singapore I said that there was no agreement that Trumps peeps wouldn't hail as the greatest ever. I still think that that's what Trump conservatives are going to do--simply parrot and jump up and down for joy no matter what the agreement says. So now Trump says we are giving up our War Games with our South Korean allies so what in return does Kim have to offer to make this quid pro quo and the greatest agreement ever penned by an American President?

What planned joint exercise did President Trump "give up"?

Explain how this offer is not provisional.

You progessive fools are stuck in your own mud!

Well, I wish Trump the best................along with S. Korea, Japan, Australia and all the rest of the world. I'm sure you're right about the celebration stuff..................just like we're still celebrating the historic agreements Carter, Clinton and Bush were able to negotiate with N. Korea. I mean, with N. Koreas stellar record of keeping it's word and shit, combined with Trumps unerring "feelings", the world should have at least a 27% confidence level that the agreement will hold for any significant length of time.

The good news is, should Trump actually GET a deal........................it will be the first deal EVER negotiated by Trump during his 16 months in office. No matter what the deal actually says, or what verification mechanisms are agreed to, you can be sure that the run up to the midterms will be nothing but talk about how the GOP candidates personally helped Trump get the deal.

Well the way Trump made it sound all further joint exercises were canceled. And why would it be provisional if NK hasn't been asked to give up anything--which as far as I know is the case...

Oh conservatives pee their pants every time Trump opens his mouth. My question is, aside from yellow stains on the floor, how are we to judge if this agreement actually means anything?

I would hope this is a genuine agreement but Trump is more concerned with the show than anything of actual substance so I have my doubts..

We will have to wait for years, re-certify that N. Korea is keeping it's word every 6 months or so....................just like we WERE doing with Iran.

The Iran deal was working as it should.. Iran did not and has not a nuclear bomb..

NK does.. The 4 things mentioned by trump as talk... none had any start date other then the war games with SK..

No date, no inspection, no definition of what denucliarization is.. will we pull everything out of south Asia in exchange?

that is what NK wants.. the last 2 times them made a promise to drop the nuck program, it did not even come close..

I like to think we still wear the white hats.. But which came first, the violations of NK or the drawback of promises by the US/

What? Expect this to be done in a day? the Iran deal was a joke. Can't inspect their military site, months pre-advance notice and they never did curb their support of terrorism. All fine with an anti American POS. Hint; N.K. had nukes before Trump was elected.

You are depending far too much on the alt right BS..

according to all participants.. It was working well.

Inspection was set up as the best in the world.

Constant monitoring of sites. Iran gave up 98% of stockpile..

The deal requires Iran to reduce its current stockpile of low-enriched uranium by 98 percent, and limits Iran’s enrichment capacity and research and development for 15 years. Some inspections and transparency measures will remain in place for as long as 25 years. According to President Obama: “This relief will be phased in. Iran must complete key nuclear steps before it begins to receive sanctions relief.” Sanctions for arms could be lifted in five years, ballistic missiles in eight.

The deal was not about terrorism or human rights.. So anyone can bitch about that.. We can not cover everything in any one agreement..

NK, made an agreement with Clinton and again with Bush jr.. neither was kept.. Also tried to reactivate the deal or some version of it if Obama would give into removing troops from SK..

So how this one works out, hope for the better..

But the reported expectations make that seem doubtful...

the 4 things in the letter the two signed, have no time line nor scheduled nor definitions of terms..

Only the war games with SK are on the horizon..

so the people at work on this clearly have a great deal to do..

All leftwing BS. European countries want to buy and sell with IRAN. What is it with you? If Trump had struck this exact deal with Iran you'd be screaming at the heavens about what a fool he is. You are nothing but a troll.

Back when Un was firing missiles toward Japan, threatening Guam and Hawaii, and Trump delivered him a stern warning, sending a carrier task force into the region, you leftist putzes were screaming bloody murder that Trump was going start WW3.

"OMG, Trump has our nuclear launch codes, we're all gonna die."

Then, when Un stopped his missile tests, what did we hear from you?

"The pumpkinfuhrer had nothing to do with that, China made Un stop."

Then, when word went out that Trump and Un were going to meet to discuss a denuke agreement, you snivelers wailed,

"Hot damn, Kim has Trump by the balls, Kim is playing that ignorant cocksu*ker like a Stradivarius violin."

"Kim is gonna rake the orange man over the coals."

"Trump is gonna come home with his tail stuffed up his fat ass."

And now that Trump and Un have signed a historic agreement that included an act of faith by ending the provocative joint naval exercises, you spineless jackasses flip flop,

"Ah, shit, nothing will come of this, Un didn't give up anything. This is all just bullshit."

During a speech in 2016, Hillary Clinton stressed the point that the road to peace was for the United States to work with our enemies, negotiate agreements, establish friendly diplomatic relations. And, here you are mocking Trump for doing just that.

Hypocrites!

Joint Statement of President Donald J. Trump of the United States of America and Chairman Kim Jong Un of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea at the Singapore Summit

President Donald J. Trump of the United States of America and Chairman Kim Jong Un of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) held a first, historic summit in Singapore on June 12, 2018.

President Trump and Chairman Kim Jong Un conducted a comprehensive, in-depth, and sincere exchange of opinions on the issues related to the establishment of new U.S.-DPRK relations and the building of a lasting and robust peace regime on the Korean Peninsula. President Trump committed to provide security guarantees to the DPRK, and Chairman Kim Jong Un reaffirmed his firm and unwavering commitment to complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

Convinced that the establishment of new U.S.-DPRK relations will contribute to the peace and prosperity of the Korean Peninsula and of the world, and recognizing that mutual confidence building can promote the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, President Trump and Chairman Kim Jong Un state the following:

1. The United States and the DPRK commit to establish new U.S.-DPRK relations in accordance with the desire of the peoples of the two countries for peace and prosperity.

2. The United States and the DPRK will join their efforts to build a lasting and stable peace regime on the Korean Peninsula.

3. Reaffirming the April 27, 2018 Panmunjom Declaration, the DPRK commits to work toward complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

4. The United States and the DPRK commit to recovering POW/MIA remains, including the immediate repatriation of those already identified.

Having acknowledged that the U.S.-DPRK summit — the first in history — was an epochal event of great significance in overcoming decades of tensions and hostilities between the two countries and for the opening up of a new future, President Trump and Chairman Kim Jong Un commit to implement the stipulations in this joint statement fully and expeditiously. The United States and the DPRK commit to hold follow-up negotiations, led by the U.S. Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, and a relevant high-level DPRK official, at the earliest possible date, to implement the outcomes of the U.S.-DPRK summit.

President Donald J. Trump of the United States of America and Chairman Kim Jong Un of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea have committed to cooperate for the development of new U.S.-DPRK relations and for the promotion of peace, prosperity, and security of the Korean Peninsula and of the world.

(Signed)

DONALD J. TRUMP
President of the United States of America

KIM JONG UN
Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea
