I try to understand all sides of an issue. I find that harder to accomplish in this day and age. It seems that conversations about politics quickly deteriorate to childish accusations and name calling. I am very sad for our country.

You have come to the right place. You will receive a lot of good info, but more BS. It won't take you long to figure out who gives which. Develop a thick skin and a good sense of humor, and you will enjoy OPP.

Don't be sad, be glad. Like better jobs that are full time jobs rather than the part time jobs that were counted under Obama. Is there a prefect President no way but Trump the businessmen is heads and tails better than a community organizer.

That pedantic behavior always arises when those involved aren't interested in YOUR point of view, instead, want you to convert to THEIRS.

Americans don't have conversations anymore, nor do they have debates or arguments - everything is a verbally violent effort to gain compliance. Listening is a vital component of discourse, however, listening may result in the listener gaining insight that challenges their preferred point of view..............so must be avoided at all costs.

I truly would like to feel glad. Maybe if I saw some specifics about how our county is better off it would help. Broad general comments just don't do it for me. But thanks very much for trying.

Most everyone has had to have the hint-use the quote reply button to respond so everyone will know who you're responding to.

A couple of specifics, one is that the labor force participation rate has been steadily climbing, after being in the toilet during the Obama administration. And more small businesses closed under the Obama policies than opened.

Ah! Thanks for the tip on quote-reply. Where would I find the statistics for "labor force participation rate"? I didn't know more small businesses closed under Obama than opened. Have more opened than closed under the current administration? Where could I find those numbers?

Welcome! You have come to the right place. This forum has it all. Both side to the issues, good information, bad information and at some point it usually deteriorates into childish accusations and name calling. Enjoy
