Pennsylvainia school district arming the students too.
Blue Mountain School District has placed five gallon buckets of landscaping stones in classrooms for the kids to repel potential gun attacks..School District superintendent David Helsel announced the decision last week...but has since been ridiculed to having real armed security too..

So true...but if you have 30 kids throwing rocks at a coward with a gun, it just might give them some.kind of chance..better then not fighting back at all.
Ask David about throwing stones. Mike

Ooops! Students and teachers will have to be trained to handled “assault rocks”. No doubt about it, inaccurate rock throwing can result in collateral damage. Students are probably too young to handle “assault rocks”; therefore, only teachers (who will have to be licensed) can handle such weaponry.
Can anyone imagine what’s going to happen when a bunch of high schoolers discover a box of rocks available...especially the day they have a substitute teacher? Can you say: “dumber than a box of rocks”?
Wonder what an “assault rock” will cost? Only approved rocks can be used in order to retain federal funding.
Many high schoolers, go to school stoned already!
Islam (Sharia law) can provide advice on stoning technique.
All kinds of confusion: “Ma’am, your son/daughter was stoned at school today”.
Liability insurance to cover “stone bruises”. (Sure could’ve used that when I was in high school!)

That's right Mike..If David can bring down Goliath then well......
Thanks Katie, wasn't sure I could spell Goliath and after misspelling one word couldn't take the chance of being called out by one who doesn't know the difference between their, there, they're or hear or here, etc. Mike

My thought, when first reading about arming teachers and children with rocks was, they're not going to sit there and take it..but I would much rather have some fully trained and adequately armed faculty firing a gun, instead of trying to stop a shooter with a rock.
I have grandsons, and would much prefer to have the boys protected with sudden and lethal force.
And I do have to say again, kids being aware that they might have to fight to save their lives..is a good policy now days..
I'm with you in having adequately armed persons in the schools. That was the case back in the early 90's for my daughter because of a beloved principle. He bucked all politicians and cut stupid liberal courses and hired four assistant principles who wore exposed side arms and wandered the halls. They also monitored who entered the school whether Parent or student.
His worst students went on to become some of the most exalted members of the NFL, NBL. And these were poor black kids who wouldn't have had a chance other than his dedication to the kids. Shortly after he retired he committed suicide. G-D bless Principle Hardy. Mike

Principal Hardy was a no nonsense educator, we need many more like him.
