Those that have different views are Americans and Veterans who love their country and respect our flag and the people that defend it.

Who elected you to speak for anybody?

I wasn't. I was speaking for myself and those like me who have a difference of opinion with Conservatives.
So you don’t have a problem with those taking a knee? If it weren’t for those defending our country you and others wouldn’t have the opportunity to voice your opinion, at least not in English. 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Welcome. Served 38 years, boot camp 74, Ft Jackson. Two wars, missions all over this world. Hope I never have to get on another C17. Hope to never have to leave this Great Nation that I love again. But, I would suit up, answer the call. If they will take an Ole Army Plt Sarge Dog, give me my orders. Damn, I loved leading troops. Turned down 1st Sarge twice. Didn't want to push a desk. Loved being in the field, in the field I could train troops. Get outside the box. Brother in Arms, hope you have a thick skin. If you are a true Patriot, the Liberal Trolls are going to try to eat you up. Be a duck, just let it roll off. Throw it back Boots on the ground, being there, with your soldiers. That's where you build the team that you have to take into battle. Is there anyway I can re-up ? If I were 18 again, I would do it again. Damn, what a ride.

Sigh. Taking a knee has nothing whatsoever to do with those " defending our country." Taking a knee is an incredible boost for our way of government.
I kneel in prayer not in defiance! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I thank God for people like you! I too am an Army Vet, 5th SFG, Vietnam, 68-69. At 69 I’m to old to re-up but would in a heart beat if I could. After 20 yrs. in LE my skin is pretty thick, I laugh at libs.

Knelling in prayer is defiance of worldliness.
Oh you’re one of those. I will pray for you.🙏

I was drafted in 12/1/66. Had a sweet college Track scholarship at the University of Maryland, which meant a deferment from service. BMOC, or at least somewhat. Spiro Agnew was governor of the state at that time. On campus, was where the notorious Students For A Democratic Society (SDS) anti-war group started. On a tour with the Track Captain, we came upon a organized protest by them. The speaker asked, "Who ran against Washington in the first US election?" From a good Catholic education, I knew the answer and expected the large, antagonistic crowd to give a quick answer.
A short digression: Ho Chi Ming was running unopposed for president of a united Viet Nam. The official position of our government was that this was not a true democratic election and opposed it.
The crowd was disappointing. After maybe ten minutes of throwing out the name of every Founding Father, the speaker for SDS said two words: "No one." Two football players rushed the podium and knocked him to the ground. Security quickly intervened. But that day stuck with me.
I was very anti-war at that time. Innocents are killed in such conflicts and that broke, for me, the 6th Commandment: "Thou shalt not murder." In my second year, this whole issue weighed very heavily upon me. The status quo became an accusing finger. So without telling my dad, the coach or anyone, I went down to the Selective Service center and changed my status to 1-A. With that, I was determined to be infantry all the way, go to Nam...and refuse to fight. Fate intervened and kept me from that alternative.
THEN WHAT THE HELL IS IT ABOUT ? When Tomlin disses the one TRUE Vet. 3 tours. I love the Steelers, but that was wrong. Tell me what has all this accomplished ? What has any one of these kneelers done ?
They are making millions of dollars a year. Are they doing anything to help the death rate of innocent black children scared to go to sleep ? Not knowing if they are going to wake up in the morning. See I understand this. In Iraqi lived under the same. Scared they are going to be shot in their bed by some gang-bangin dope dealing thugs. No Child in America should have to live this life. So sad, so sad. No. They just jump and move to the puppet strings that are controlling them. If they were real men that were led by their heart, what God needs them to do. That he has given them the grace to become the STARS that they think they are. Be a MAN, take action and do everything you can to end whatever to hell you say you are protesting. With everything that we have wrong in our country. All you can do is just show the next generation that they have no future. Great role models. You have made it to the top, and telling these kids they have no future because the cops and whitie are waiting to kill them in the street. All of you are not men. A man will stand up for what he knows is true and right. Not what someone is telling you to feel, or to say. Last point. Grow some balls, be a man.
