Recently the talk about and destruction of Southern statues has now advanced to talk about Washington and Jefferson. After all the Founders were almost totally white males. This will be the next step on erasing our history and then the inevitable sensure of free speech. To you on the left. Please think for Gods sake. I see BLM as a far left radical group. I also support 100% their rights to peacefully demonstrate. This trying to erase our Foundation is what every despot in the history of the world does. This should be one stand both liberals and conservatives can make together.

JFlorio, You say that the statues are being taken down because the people represented by the statues were slave holders. That is only partly true. The main reason they are being taken down is because the leaders of the Confederacy, like Lee and Davis were traitors. They were graduates of West Point and officers of the US Army. Some were congressmen and high officials in the US government. They swore an oath to protect the nation against all enemies foreign and domestic, not lead an army against the nation they swore to defend!
