"In the name of the Father,
And of the Son,
And of the Holy Spirit,"
Amen!

Praise to the Lord for His Holiness

The Lord reigns;
Let the peoples tremble!
He dwells between the cherubim;
Let the earth be moved!
The Lord is great in Zion,
And He is high above all the peoples.
Let them praise Your great and awesome name—
He is holy.
The King’s strength also loves justice;
You have established equity;
You have executed justice and righteousness in Jacob.
Exalt the Lord our God,
And worship at His footstool—
He is holy.
Moses and Aaron were among His priests,
And Samuel was among those who called upon His name;
They called upon the Lord, and He answered them.
He spoke to them in the cloudy pillar;
They kept His testimonies and the ordinance He gave them.
You answered them, O Lord our God;
You were to them God-Who-Forgives,
Though You took vengeance on their deeds.
Exalt the Lord our God,
And worship at His holy hill;
For the Lord our God is holy.

Psalms 99:1-9

Oh, Lord my God, hear my plea!
In the depths of our darkest hour, the evil of Satan entered the heart of a gunman today and he attacked Representatives of the Republican party, conservatives.
We knew this would happen. The Democrats have been getting very violent. And today it came to be. Thank you, Lord Jesus that the only death that occurred was the gunman, but this should be a wakeup call for all Americans. The fight to live free has taken an unpredictable turn, namely the emotions of the people are extremely high. And this is the danger that I spoke of since 2014.

I know Lord that there are sore losers in this country as well as in the world. This knowledge is self-evident that people will turn mad when drunk on politics. These principles that You created, and that we all believe in are just that principles to live by, and through the profession of persuasion, it is comforting to know that others share our views. However, when the abuse of these principles hits the hearts of weaker men, they tend to become violent and take it personally. We are human beings not machines, and we do make terrible mistakes, which You allow us to make so we can gain in wisdom, stature, and dignity.

We, as humans, explore every avenue of the world You created. We have accomplished Your first two commands, We have gone and multiplied and populated the earth. Now that a new day is dawning in Your Love, we must learn to work with each other in dignity and respect. You summed this up in two other commands, "Love God with all your heart and strength, and Love your neighbor as yourself." Many of us believe in these commandments, even to the point of dying for them.

However, this stubbornness and arrogance of the human heart also creates an environment of intolerance. You were intolerant towards Your Servants, such as Adam, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, David, Solomon, and many of Your prophets. But your compassion for us, softened Your heart, and through Jesus, Your Son, Adam and company were forgiven of their sins. Through their faith, they were saved.

But these men, I have mentioned, were our forefathers and patrons to Your Holy Faith. We are descendants from these great heroes for Your cause of righteousness. However, the righteous always died a violent death from their enemies. You however spared these men from that fate. I request, My God, that you spare us from that fate also. Although we speak out against our political friends, these battles are in competition and persuasion not in matters of a personal nature. O, Lord God, how is our children supposed to live under the wing of Your protection, when we fight amongst ourselves?

Some men are unreachable, by us or even by You. However, that does not mean they cannot be saved, while they still live. It just makes it harder for us to persuade them to come to our side. But once their decision to be eternally against You has been made, then we can do nothing for them, they are the lost sheep. No man can be forced to believe in You, for the simple gift of freewill.

But Lord, I pray for the Republican victims that they will find wisdom in today's events, that they will act upon this event, and protect themselves as well as us. I pray for the police, The Capitol Police, The Alexandria Police, and the Beltway Police for their heroic efforts to bring this madness to an end. Lord, I pray that wisdom enters the hearts of everyone who has been directly affected by this madness and ask that You share Your wisdom with these victims who are leaders of this great nation.

To the nation, these congressmen expressed their gratitude and told the American People, that even though we fight on the floor of Congress, it is never personal. Why don't we as Americans follow this example. Then the hatred between conservatives and liberals will begin to subside, and the madness of today would have been prevented. Tonight, I pray for America, and all 100 Senators and all 435 representatives. If we were all Catholic, I would ask us to pray one Our Father, three Hail Marys, and One Glory Be 535 times, one set for each of our Congressional representatives. But we are not all Catholic, so I urge my fellow Christians to pray for all 535 members of Congress. Remember they are human too.

Lord Jesus, guide us. We know that the shores of Heaven are protected by the United States Marines, and that that protection is filled with both liberals and conservatives in service to You. America is weak right now. Now because of our leaders, but because of our lack of self confidence in the other side. If the question was ever raised what would any of us say, if I were to ask a conservative, "Do you trust a liberal?", or if I ask a liberal, "Do you trust a conservative?",

when we do trust each other great things happen. For example, by unanimous vote with one abstention, the Declaration of Independence was signed, and through unanimous decision the Constitution was born. We went from colonies to great states. We moved westward and made a country of freedom from Sea to shining Sea! Together we overcame adversity time and time again in our history. We fought ourselves over money and slavery. We built the greatest technology with little to no experience or knowledge. We stopped evil in two world wars. We built Hoover Dam, the Golden Gate Bridge, radio and television and motion pictures. We have contributed to Science in ways never before possible. We even sent a man to the moon, who once said, "One step for Man, and One giant leap for Mankind." This is the America where I call home, and I do very well remember this America.

Every four years we cheer on our favorite American to lead us into the future. Sometimes the competition gets so emotional that yes, we do, do crazy things. But all-in-all we always band back together and move forward. We have suffered together, and we have celebrated together. We are Americans no doubt. However we have grown to hate our adversaries and have pushed the limits of our tolerance to the point of intolerance. And now in an expression of free speech, we witnessed to day, a frustrated man with our leaders. He took it upon himself, to forget our heritage and in an act of desperation, drunk on the principles of the election, he lashed out against the duly elected members of Congress.

Paul Ryan addressed Congress by saying, "An attack on one of us, is an attack on all of us." Tonight I would like to extend that to every American. An attack on one American regardless of position, sex, race, color or creed, is an attack on all of us!"

I have friends all over this country, who are heroes. Some are conservatives, some are liberals, some are independents, some are progressives, but all are Americans. The left tire cannot spin without the right tire spinning to move the car, therefore every part of America is just as important as one single part. We need the conservatives, the liberals, the independents, the progressives. They must take turns steering this country in going forward. So I declare here tonight, that we should Love each other as we love ourselves and family. Have patience with each other, and do not seek to destroy one another but seek for a better life for you and I and our children.

Remember the song, "We are the world"? We have to start living that way. We can still disagree and protect one another, but we cannot cross that line, that the gunman crossed tonight. And I pray that God grants us the wisdom to work through our disagreements from this day forward. Amen
God, Bless you all! Amen.

"In the name of the Father,
And of the Son,
And of the Holy Spirit,"
Amen!

This is not a prayer, I don't know what was going on at this time, but I talk about change with the Lord.

CHANGE

What would life be without change. God gives us exciting changes of season. Summer with its lush green foliage, and flowers, including many weeds. Some of those weeds hold medicinal value, such as ginseng, nightshade, and many others.

Then there are the flowers of summer. You can spend a fortune to have a stunning flower bed, or you can leave it to the Lord to shower you with His weeds of summer. Queen Anne's Lace is blooming on my berm. When it's full, it looks like a gardenia, beautiful. Of course, my distance view may not be as sharp as yours, but I still think it has beauty.

How about the lowly dandelion! Kids love to bring mommy a bouquet, or string the stems together for a necklace. The roots can be used for a chicory type of coffee, and fellas can tip a glass of dandelion wine.

Fall comes with its mildly brisk air to give you a more lively step, and the profusion of beautifully colored leaves. It's as though it ignites love in the air, encouraging young lovers to walk hand in hand. It seems it's a slower pace then, it wants us to have time to take in the beauty.

Winter comes with its cold air, a time to bundle up or stay inside. Children love the snow, and squeal with joy as they slide down a hill. Or, they come running in for you to come see the handsome snowman they have built. Ice skating, skiing, sledding, and snowboarding all winter fun.

As I sat on the deck, this morning, talking to the Lord, I knew I had to write a prayer. The fog laid gently around the landscape. The trees, close by, were outlined as single sentinels, and those in the background looked like a row of mountains. The mountains stood guard to protect the sentinels from attack, and the sentinels stood guard to protect the land. This is my prayer for us, for our nation, for this day.

This is the prayer from 7/24/15

What would this world look like without a God to watch over us, to protect us, feed us, and feed this plant? Think of the pictures that have been taken of Mars, or even the moon which is closer, barren! No vegetation, no green life, dead! Do we thank Him daily for the stirring life that surrounds us, for our life? Do we thank Him daily for the air we breathe, the water we drink, the food to sustain us? He stands in our stead to protect us, to save our souls for His glory, to give Him love and reverence. Do we do that, do we stand up for Him?

What would we look like without a God who has touched our hearts with humanity? Inhumanity would show in our eyes, they would look like a quagmire of nothingness. With the Lord in command of our life His love would make our eyes sparkle like gleaming gems. Our faces would shine, and others around us would feel the warmth that we exude because He has blessed us with a spirit of life and love. With Him in command, we are part of a complete picture, without Him we are like a single jigsaw piece, out of place.

Dear Lord, we ask that You be with us this day. Take our hand as if we are a small child, lead us, let us not get lost in a fog of confusion. Shut out the cacophony of discord that swirls around us. Fill our hearts with the soft music of harmony, ignite it with the light of love and hope that emanates from You. We pray for our souls, and we pray for the soul of America. Our nation bleeds with need for Your presence. Lord, we need You to conquer the evil that is filtering into our lives and the lives of our children, save us Lord, we ask in the name of Jesus, giving all praise, honor, and glory to You.

In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, Amen

As I thought about a prayer, my mind was going in one direction, but my prayer has gone in a totally different direction. I pray you find it inspiring, and not be fearful, for He is in control.

This is the prayer from 7/26/15

As a light began to appear in the east, my heart is moved to thank the Lord for a new day. First a faint light begins, outlining the trees. Gradually the light brightens, and the trees become individuals with branches and leaves - lovely. The light grows, coloring the clouds with a soft peach shade. Slowly, at first this red ball begins to peek its head over the horizon, then a burst of flame as the sun emerges. Is that how it will be when the Son appears, along with the deafening blare of trumpets? Will the entire sky gleam with His light? He will be surrounded by a magnificent army of angels, and in the background we will hear an angelic choir sing His praises.

The forces of evil will battle the forces of good, they will stand wide-eyed with surprise, although they have been expecting Him, they knew not when. Make no mistake, Satan knows the Bible. After the surprise wears off, their anger fires them up to attack. What a waste of time, what a loss of life and soul awaits them - so they must fight a losing battle. It will be the Battle of Armageddon. Battles can be won in a day, but wars have not been won in a day. This will be battle and war, won in a day - the Day of Armageddon. Armageddon means "Mount of Slaughter" and refers to the beautiful valley to the east of Mount Megiddo, and the word "battle" here literally means "campaign" or "war", it will be won by the Lord.

It will be the day to have oil for your lamps, and the wick trimmed. Be ready for whatever, and whenever He commands it. Go back for nothing, look only to the Lord for leadership and security. Each individual must lay down their soul for Jesus, complete obedience will be expected. This, I must tell myself, get over your independent nature and surrender to the Lord. This can be called "the battle on the great day of God Almighty". Satan will order his armies to destroy the entire city of Jerusalem, but Christ will come to deliver her at the last moment. Will we see this on a magnificent screen in the sky, or will we be in heaven looking down? Our prayer is that You hold us close, Lord.

In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen

This is the prayer from 7/28

With coffee in hand I stepped out onto the deck, only to be greeted by an inky blackness. The saying 'darkest before dawn' is right! The air hung still and heavy. In the distance, I head a dog barking, or maybe it was coyotes, but no planes going over - strange, because I usually hear two of them. Everything around me seemed to be melted together in one dark, foreboding mass. As I sat there, conversing with the Lord, slowly, the eastern sky began to soften with a slight illumination announcing the approach of a new day.

Ah, light! The grass such a rich green, the trees so vibrant, so alive. There are a few scattered clouds drifting in this beautiful, soft blue sky. The lower clouds are touched with a peachy glow, while the higher ones have taken on a more rose colored hue. Thank You, Lord, for opening my eyes to the beauty of this new day. A new day, a new beginning, a new adventure awaits each of us. The day will bring to us what we put into it. Give it your heart and joy, and it will return to you accordingly.

May the good Lord bless each of us as we step out into this day. Open the door and walk out as a child with eyes full of the excitement and wonder for the conditions that surround us. Help us to see Your glory, your beauty and blessings in even the most mundane scene. Fill our hearts with the love and joy that a new parent feels when holding their child. This is a new day of the Lord, appreciate it, give it your best, and He will return it proportionately. In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.

This is new today (6/18/17)

Observations

This morning, when thinking about the prayer blogs, I wondered if we have once again fallen into complacency. I have not been taking the time to read my Bible as I should, and when I do I don't believe I give it the thought that I should. Where has the fire gone? Where is my enthusiasm? Where do I stand with the Lord? Am I far away, caught up in my own world? It is time to get back on track. All is not well in 'Mudville.' Just look at the headlines, "Impeach Trump!" On what kind of 'trumped' up charges are the Liberals looking at?

Today, is the first day of a new leaf, turn it over, find time to just quietly sit and meditate on God. You may actually HEAR Him speak to you. I need that. I feel like I've been wandering in a desert, going in circles. My soul feels dry, empty - I know my need and it is You, Lord.

Isaiah 6:8-10 Isaiah’s Commission

8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!

9 He said, “Go, and tell this people:
‘Keep on listening, but do not perceive;
Keep on looking, but do not understand.’

10 “Render the hearts of this people insensitive,
Their ears dull,
And their eyes dim,
Otherwise they might see with their eyes,
Hear with their ears,
Understand with their hearts,
And return and be healed.”

Is this where we are, our ears dull, eyes dim, and cold hearts? It is time, time to build a fire to the Lord. Fire up your heart, fire up your friends, fire up the United States of America. We ask dear Lord, that You will help us, that You will find ten Christians with sincere hearts to say, "SEND ME!" Amen

Here you go Armageddon, this is for you and all the faithful here.

"In the name of the Father,
And of the Son,
And of the Holy Spirit,"
Amen!

Praise for the Lord’s Mercies
A Psalm of David.
Bless the Lord, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases,
Who redeems your life from destruction,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
The Lord executes righteousness
And justice for all who are oppressed.
He made known His ways to Moses,
His acts to the children of Israel.
The Lord is merciful and gracious,
Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.
He will not always strive with us,
Nor will He keep His anger forever.
He has not dealt with us according to our sins,
Nor punished us according to our iniquities.
For as the heavens are high above the earth,
So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;
As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
As a father pities his children,
So the Lord pities those who fear Him.
For He knows our frame;
He remembers that we are dust.
As for man, his days are like grass;
As a flower of the field, so he flourishes.
For the wind passes over it, and it is gone,
And its place remembers it no more.
But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting
On those who fear Him,
And His righteousness to children’s children,
To such as keep His covenant,
And to those who remember His commandments to do them.
The Lord has established His throne in heaven,
And His kingdom rules over all.
Bless the Lord, you His angels,
Who excel in strength, who do His word,
Heeding the voice of His word.
Bless the Lord, all you His hosts,
You ministers of His, who do His pleasure.
Bless the Lord, all His works,
In all places of His dominion.
Bless the Lord, O my soul!

Psalms 103:1-22

God, Bless you all! Amen.

"In the name of the Father,
And of the Son,
And of the Holy Spirit,"
Amen!
r you and all the faithful here.
