This is the Prayer from 3/22/15

When you were young, did you ever break something that you knew really meant a lot to Mommy ? Did you take it to her crying and say "I'm sorry, mommy?" She would take the broken object, look disappointed, put it down, pick you up and tell you to stop crying, that you mean much more to her than the object. You know where this story is going, you know that is an example of the Lord's love for us. When we sin, a serious sin that makes us feel guilty, we will tell the Lord we're sorry, and make an effort to not repeat that type of behavior. We try!

We reach a point in life where we look back over what we have accomplished and where we have failed. We attempt to make a credit and debit account of our life. Too often, and rightfully so, we feel the debits far outweigh any credits, with tears in our eyes, we hand the list to the Lord. He looks at it, and the debit side disappears. He holds us in His arms and tells us He loves us, that we are forgiven, we are His. We should feel the weight of guilt lift from our shoulders, but so often we feel it's still there, dragging along behind us, holding us back.

Satan works very hard to hold us in his grip of guilt. Our guilt is listening to him in the first place, we know he came to steal, kill, and destroy. Now is the time to hand that guilt back to Satan, and tell him that it is his and you are the Lord's. Every day plead the blood of Jesus over you, your family, and your home. Be safe in the arms of Jesus. Satan and his minions flee at the name of Jesus. Keep His name on your lips, and His presence in your heart. He will be happy and you will be forgiven. We pray in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Amen.

This is the Prayer from 3/23/15

Where do you go when you feel lost? Who do you ask for directions? Did you take the Lord with you when you left home today? If you took Him along, then ask Him where you went wrong, and ask Him to lead you to the right road. Does that sound like a bunch of hooey? Try it sometime, He just may surprise you by guiding you in the right direction? He may alert your inner senses back to that turn you missed, or lead you on to the road sign you were looking for. It will take effort on your part to stay in touch with Him, so you can hear His voice.

Let me tell you a true story about a printer I had. It wouldn't print this paper I needed. I tried doing everything I could think of to make it work, all to no avail. Finally, I put my hands on the printer and told the Lord what my need was - I hit 'print' - and yes, it printed my paper. Am I saying that prayer will make the impossible possible - it can, but I would advise you save those times for when it's a necessity. Prayer is an amazing gift, and it works best when you can lift your mind above reason, and just accept the impossible from a gracious and loving Lord.

In our world of reason, we have been taught that we have to know the why and wherefore. In the world of faith, we have to know the God who is within us, we have to know how to reach Him and just believe. There is always an exception, in this case, we have to remember Satan still has the lease over our world. The devil still has control to make things go wrong, and loves it when we blame God. Build your faith and trust in the Lord, rely on your inner senses - He's always there. This we pray in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Amen.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness

Yes, He is faithful and just and will forgive us, but He is also faithful to hear us and answer our needs. Amen to that, right brother!

This is the prayer from 3/24/15

Happiness is out of the blue, you hear from an old friend. They contact you and you are filled with joy. How easy it is to please and lift someone's spirits. That is our human reaction, just imagine the Lord's reaction! WOW! The stars seem to twinkle brighter, the sun shines filling the air with its warmth, and the Lord smiles. His thoughts are of joy to hear from a wandering child. We wander and drift apart, then some memory will flicker to the forefront and we wonder where they are, how they're doing. He keeps track of us daily, and looks for contact.

What do we do with our time that is so important we lose track of keeping in touch, not only with each other, but particularly with our Lord? Relationships become light and casual, there is little depth and commitment even in some marriages. They have no time for each other because of their job, or running in different directions with their children's activities, or their own personal interests. Do their children only know them as a chauffeur? If we have no time to know our spouse, or know our children, do we really know our God?

Time becomes such a precious commodity, yet we find so many distractions rather than utilize it to the fullest. We lose track of people and things, but whatever happens in your life, always find your way back to the Lord. He is waiting, patiently He looks for you to steal a few minutes with Him. To take the time, even stolen time, in His presence can make a world of difference in your day. No doubt you have seen this poem before, but it never hurts to be reminded. We bring our prayer in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Amen.

No Time To Pray

I got up early one morning and rushed right into the day;
I had so much to accomplish that I didn't have time to pray.
Problems just tumbled about me,
and heavier came each task,
"Why doesn't God help me?" I wondered.
He answered, "You didn't ask."
I wanted to see joy and beauty,
but the day toiled on gray and bleak;
I wondered why God didn't show me;
He said, "But you didn't seek."
I tried to come into God's presence;
I used all my keys at the lock;
God gently and lovingly chided,
"My child you didn't knock."
I woke up early this morning,
and paused before entering the day;
I had so much to accomplish that I had to take time to pray.

A Song of Praise to the Sovereign Lord

The Lord reigns;
Let the earth rejoice;
Let the multitude of isles be glad!
Clouds and darkness surround Him;
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.
A fire goes before Him,
And burns up His enemies round about.
His lightnings light the world;
The earth sees and trembles.
The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the Lord,
At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
The heavens declare His righteousness,
And all the peoples see His glory.
Let all be put to shame who serve carved images,
Who boast of idols.
Worship Him, all you gods.
Zion hears and is glad,
And the daughters of Judah rejoice
Because of Your judgments, O Lord.
For You, Lord, are most high above all the earth;
You are exalted far above all gods.
You who love the Lord, hate evil!
He preserves the souls of His saints;
He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.
Light is sown for the righteous,
And gladness for the upright in heart.
Rejoice in the Lord, you righteous,
And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name.

Psalms 96:1-12

I listen from time to time a radio station called KTUH, the Truth a conservative talk radio station. Among the hosts there is one called James T. Harris. I have been listening to him for years. And one of the announcers tonight was talking about Great Britain's dilemma, and his guest called America, "our cousins across the sea". Well, let's pray for "Our cousins across the sea."

But another thing that intrigued me today was on James T. Harris's show, he spoke condemningly against the liberals and progressives like he should but recently he was saying what is wrong with us conservatives. We are quick to condemn the liberals/progressives but that gets us into the slippery slope of "I am better than you" type of arguments and the young of this country either don't understand or do not care. I really don't blame them.

Then tonight, the same guest I mentioned earlier said about the ISIS recruits and the far leftists, "We are approaching the problem all wrong. The terrorists are trying to give the recruits a 'better way' and they win them over through the religion of Muslim or better put Islam. They twist the meaning of Islam and use it as a weapon to recruit these children. The Conservatives are quick to place blame, but don't show the children a better way."

I don't remember who the guest was on tonight's show, nor do I remember the name of the show, but this statement stood out. Instead of being pessimistic about our faith in God, our leaders and our country, we conservatives must put a positive spin on all of it. One way we are doing it, is by our posts here on this thread, "Praying for America: Through the Psalm of David" and on my other thread, "Praying for America--Through a Psalm of David: The second Journey."

Jesus came for the sinners because the righteous are already saved. The chosen people, the Israelites, and the Jews are already saved. They have been promised to be the priests of Yahweh. And those who were converted through the religion of John the Baptist, are Christians today. They are the saints. Jesus' heart was filled with joy when He found a true Israelite. Let us all become true Israelites through Jesus.

How did Jesus convert us? He offered each and everyone of us a better way to live. Between the teaching of the Jewish way, and His awesome teachings we became Christians. Through His teachings we created America!. Now the rest of the world fears us, hates us, loves us, wants to be our friend and enemy. But all in all the teachings of Christ Jesus, is what makes America Great. Trump is on a mission, he is determined to "Make America Great again" but without Our Lord Jesus in our Hearts this cannot be done. We must lead by example and wisdom. We must show through our actions that our way of life in Jesus Christ, is more prosperous, more rewarding, and makes us happier, than any other way of living.

We must show our righteousness by leading through the gospels of Christ. By doing this our simple message of giving our lives over to Jesus, will be realized. "I once was blind, but now I see. I once was deaf, but can now hear. I was once impure, but now as fire purifies gold, so did Jesus purify me." For 2000+ years we Christians were the optimistic ones. Let's not let the Lefties or Muslims take that from us. Let's be optimistic about our God! Amen

God, Bless you all! Amen.

"In the name of the Father,
And of the Son,
And of the Holy Spirit,"
Amen!

This is the Prayer from 3/25/15

When you were young, did you ever participate in sports, a drama activity, or a recital? Mom and Dad were always so proud of you. You would try to make sure you knew where they were sitting so you could steal a glance every now and then. With sports, they would always stand to cheer you on, when your team scored. With drama and recitals, the camera was always flashing to get plenty of pictures of you. When you became a parent, you did the very same things with your children. Our God does that, all day, every day - He cheers us on.

This morning, it seemed I had a hard time starting the day. Finally, with my dog and my coffee, I made it out onto the deck. I looked for some stars, but they were pretty much hidden behind the billowy cumulus clouds. So, I just sat down to converse with the Lord. He knows me, He knows each of us. He knows our fears, our pains, our joys, and our losses. He has experienced all of them. He is our greatest cheerleader, no matter what our endeavor is, He's there. When I rose to leave, He sent a gentle breeze to caress my cheek, and let me know He is with me.

Just as Mom and Dad cheered you on when you were young, now we have our strongest advocate cheering us on as we advance in age. When the going gets rough, and you seem stuck in a maze of stumbling blocks, take a break with the Lord. Rest your body and your mind, just as He did. He would go to a place of rest, a place where he could pray and be with the Father. He had to refresh His being. We too, need to refresh our being, we need to be in His presence. He is always there for us. Praise the Lord! We bring our prayer in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Amen.

This is the Prayer from 3/26/15

Our first request this morning, Lord, is that we ask You be with and comfort tornado victims throughout Oklahoma and Arkansas. Comfort the family who lost a loved one, and comfort those who now have to rebuild their homes, and pick up the pieces of their lives that have been scattered across miles. This is a very difficult time for so many who experienced the destruction. Devastation and destruction, these tornadoes are nothing compared to what is to come. Noah tried to warn the people of his day, but they wouldn't listen. Is that happening today?

Who will You send, Lord, who will come in an attempt to wake the wayward, sleeping public. A public that is finding more and more available distractions. Satan is pushing hard, and he is doing his work like a master magician. He goes all out to conquer the minds of the young, he sees their potential to cut down the old who continue to extol the moral virtues of the Bible. He is the Pied Piper of the day, leading the children to the mountain to disappear forever. We need one to open eyes, and unstop the ears that we might see and hear the truth.

Dear Lord, we need Your Spirit to come among us, to stir the emptiness within us and fill it with the knowledge of You, and understanding as to what is to come. We need the Spirit to fill the minds of our children with knowledge of You rather than the mystical distractions of the I-phone and I-pad. Wonderful technological advances, but are they? Are we still spending family time, reading the Bible to our children, or are we, too, caught up with that swirling dervish technology brings? We pray for Your help Lord, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Amen
