This is the Prayer from 3/14/15

The morning sounds makes our part of the world come alive with activity, natural, peaceful activity. In the distance, the sound of a dog barking. We hear an owl hoot, does it see some prey or is it calling to another? Overhead you hear a jet plane, probably carrying passengers to their destination. What is our destination? What is our future, we wonder. Things are just too normal, and we know things are not right. Our part of the world will be seeing change, a change we are not accustomed to, nor do we look forward to, but open our eyes, Lord, prepare us.

Praise the Lord for your present safety! The winds of change hold more than we may be prepared to handle, be warned, be ready. Praise Him and look to His Word. Trusting in Him, and following Him. We will have to turn our eyes heavenward, and plead our case accordingly. Our understanding has such limits, He has a plan that must be followed. Trust the Lord! Look to Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths."

What do our paths hold, where are they leading? We have many questions, but no answers. Wait! There is an answer, trust the Lord, be in the Word. In Zephaniah 3 the Lord speaks to Jerusalem, His Words should ring for us today. He looks to the meek and humble, to those who believe and trust in Him. He looks to those who will work together, share and care for each other, they will not be liars. His Word tells us He is living among us. He is a mighty savior. "With His love, He will calm all your fears." We pray in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost, O Lord, come be with us! Amen.

This is a Prayer from 3/15/15

A new day, a new prayer, a prayer for mankind, a prayer that man will learn to be kind to his fellow man. That seems so simple, but apparently so hard to come by in a world where war rages and life becomes expendable. We have been fortunate that war does not rage here, and we care about our neighbor, we care about the atrocities that occur around the world. We are at a loss as to what kind of people are they to not care, not have feeling. What can be done to change the way the world seems to be heading, heading down a dead-end street.

We can live in hope and prayer. Our prayer for the return of our Savior Jesus. He will return to redeem God's ownership of this world. Satan will be defeated, evil will vanish. Can you imagine a renewed world, a world filled with innocence? Think back to childhood, think back to your happiest memory of childhood exuberance and innocence. Playing games outdoors, talking to friends face to face, just being a child. The computer will be used for communication and good, not just a distraction from the world around you. It will be a different world.

Yes, a new day, a new world. A new heaven and a new earth, and God will dwell among us. We will not only know our Lord, we will be there with Him. That will be when love will reign supreme. Hallelujah, what a day that will be. We will be able to praise Him, and hear the angelic choir sing anthems to His glory. That time is drawing nigh, now is the time to be in the Word, to spread the Word, to be a 'watchman.' Let us be about bringing as many as possible with us. Dear Lord, hear our prayer in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Amen.

This is a Prayer from 3/16/15

A prayer for America. A prayer for our future. A request, Lord - tell me what to do. I am offended, Lord, by our President and the way Christians are treated. I am old, but I have fight in my veins, fight for the right to pray in public to the One Lord God of heaven and earth. Show me the way, no - make a way for a law suit to go forward. For a case to be free to say the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag, a case to stand in the public square to pray to You, a case for our children to take extra credit in school to learn the Bible. I am a fed up soul, help me to take a stand.

What can one person do? It took only one person to have religion taken out of school, why can't one person fight to have it put back? We have been so busy just trying to make a life for ourselves and for our families, and what have we gotten for that? We have gotten an increase in divorce; young people throwing morals to the wind; unwanted pregnancies and disease; drug and alcohol abuse; and we turn a blind eye. No more, it is time to make headlines, it is time to fight. We have gone to war for greedy men to make more money, it's time to go to war for God.

This is a plea, a plea for unified prayer from every Christian to pray that we can and will make a difference. Yes Lord, yes, it only takes one person to make a spark that can set a forest on fire. I am not a hero, but Your voice is saying, as in Isaiah, "Whom shall I send?" If it be Your will, send me, Lord, I will fight for You. You are the Light of my life, the Love of my soul, You are my Lord, my God, and with faith in my heart I will step forward. God Bless America and please Lord, Shine your light on Her! Lead me Lord, and have prayer go with me, we pray in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Amen.

This Prayer from 3/17/15

This morning the sky appeared a dark black/blue making the stars stand out like brilliant guides for some wandering wayfarer. It was more quite than usual, no owls hooting, no dogs barking, just serene stillness. Two planes were so high overhead I couldn't hear them. Their directions appeared that one may have been heading for Chicago, the other farther west. The passengers, on board, may have been dosing or formulating their plans for the day. Life is moving along so normal. We pray, Lord, that our life will continue in some form of normal procedure.

We can look back over our lives and marvel at the advances man has made. The common party-line telephone, of childhood, is now a handheld device that gives you directions, the weather, information as to where to eat, and where you can sleep - who would have envisioned that from the 'party-line?' The changes in our lives are taking place so rapidly, you buy something one day and a week later it's out with advances. All this technology is changing day by day, but man is still man. His attitudes change, but he appears the same, yet we know there are changes, and it's time to be in prayer.

Praise the Lord, we can look to Him as constant. He was the same yesterday, today, and He will be the same tomorrow. Let us put our trust and our rest in Him. With Him and through Him we will have life, and have it more abundantly. He tells us so in John 10:10 "..... I came that they may have life and have it abundantly." He gives us more than enough, we only have to look around to find the little pleasures of the day, a laugh with friends, appreciate the ordinary - it's comfortable. This is our prayer for the day, we pray in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Amen.

This is the Prayer from 3/18/15

The sun shines in Israel, and the people are not swayed by interference from the Obama intercept team. Intelligence and education reign high among the Jewish people, brainwashing gets flushed out to sea and sent back from whence it came. Oh Lord, we look to the day when our children may once again receive unbiased education. We look to the day when the government is run for the people and by the people, not run for personal wealth and power. We have been blind, forgive us Lord, and return, return that our hearts may be filled with rejoicing.

History is a sad predictor of the future. It's there for all to read and learn, why do they not see it, not understand? The Bible tells us over and over what happened to the Jewish people when they felt they could go their own way, live their lives as free and open to do whatever 'felt good' to them. When we walk away from faith in God, we begin to abandon the value system that has made us a people of integrity. What does it take for integrity, it takes personal commitment to value truth, legitimacy, courage, heritage, and a fair justice system.

Oh Lord, are we now wandering in the desert? We cry to You, and You provide, but we promptly forget and turn to the fool who says he knows the way! Lord, we believe, we see the storm clouds that are forming, we cry to You to rescue us. We have read the history books, we have read Your Word, and we pray for Your return. The future is fast approaching with negative changes that bring tears to our eyes. Help all to hold fast to their faith in You, and with You we stand on the Rock. Praise the Lord. we pray in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Amen.

This is the Prayer from 3/20/15

Where do the days go? It seems everything is moving so fast that time has slipped away before our very eyes. The world is changing into something we no longer recognize. Oh yes, there still are 24 hours, we take care of the necessary items of each day, or utilize the useful escape of 'first thing tomorrow.' Is that really how we want to live, are the changes what we really want to see? Do we have time for our family? More importantly, do we have time for Jesus? He is there every day. He looks to have conversation with us. Do we rush through prayer, or do we linger with Him?

The spirit inside you wants to gently guide you to that serene place where you are able to quietly reflect on your relationship with the Lord. Even in the rush of each day, find that time for renewal. You may find it will give you the lift, the required energy to finish out the day feeling fulfilled rather than dragged out. Forget the news, it's depressing, let the powers that be fall all over themselves for position. Foolish men, they don't realize it, but they are just pushing us closer to His return. Return to a day when brotherly love will reign supreme, and greed will be buried.

Jesus is the way, the light, the love, the lift to a higher level of behavior. Inside each of us a child will come alive with wide eyed wonder as we observe the beauty of a new world. What an exciting time that will be. We will truly be born again. The Word tells us He will call the children to Him. Matthew 18:3 "...unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." Keep that child inside you alive, He is returning to bring you to where He is. Keep faith, hope and love alive. We pray in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Amen

This is the Prayer from 3/21/15

Psalm 122
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
“May those who love you be secure.
May there be peace within your walls
and security within your citadels.”
For the sake of my family and friends,
I will say, “Peace be within you.”
For the sake of the house of the Lord our God,
I will seek your prosperity.

Let us be in prayer that the UN cannot force Israel to give up more land. Their previous concessions of land have produced no peace offering, nor will any further concessions. The proposed changes would require Israel to give up Masada to Palestinian rule, and lose the possibility of finding any future hidden scrolls. The Israeli cry is, "Masada, never again!" Let us raise our voices with them in agreement. Let us be in prayer for the land and the people to whom we owe so much, to whom we owe our union with the Lord God of heaven and earth.

"Masada, never again," we cry with Israel. We stand with our brothers, the Jewish people, who have the right to occupy their God given property. We know God will protect them, the foolish plans of mice and men will go down in flames. We may yet see suffering that we have not before experienced, but we trust in our Lord and will face it with brave determination, for we fear not where our souls are destined. We praise the Lord, and as Christian soldiers, we march forth with His banner. This we pray in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Amen.

The prayer from 3/21/15 reflected what was going on with Israel two years ago (with Obumer pushing for an indefensible border). It still should be our prayer for the continued independence and current borders of Israel. What has been 'suggested' would make this country indefensible, and that is unacceptable. I want to credit Linda Joy for posting Psalm 122

This is the Prayer from 3/22/15

When you were young, did you ever break something that you knew really meant a lot to Mommy ? Did you take it to her crying and say "I'm sorry, mommy?" She would take the broken object, look disappointed, put it down, pick you up and tell you to stop crying, that you mean much more to her than the object. You know where this story is going, you know that is an example of the Lord's love for us. When we sin, a serious sin that makes us feel guilty, we will tell the Lord we're sorry, and make an effort to not repeat that type of behavior. We try!

We reach a point in life where we look back over what we have accomplished and where we have failed. We attempt to make a credit and debit account of our life. Too often, and rightfully so, we feel the debits far outweigh any credits, with tears in our eyes, we hand the list to the Lord. He looks at it, and the debit side disappears. He holds us in His arms and tells us He loves us, that we are forgiven, we are His. We should feel the weight of guilt lift from our shoulders, but so often we feel it's still there, dragging along behind us, holding us back.

Satan works very hard to hold us in his grip of guilt. Our guilt is listening to him in the first place, we know he came to steal, kill, and destroy. Now is the time to hand that guilt back to Satan, and tell him that it is his and you are the Lord's. Every day plead the blood of Jesus over you, your family, and your home. Be safe in the arms of Jesus. Satan and his minions flee at the name of Jesus. Keep His name on your lips, and His presence in your heart. He will be happy and you will be forgiven. We pray in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Amen.
