This is the prayer from 3/11/15

Fog wrapped its mysterious fingers around the trees as a light rain spattered against the deck. There was the smell of smoke in the air, we pray it was from burning debris and not someone's home and all their memories. The near sound of a jet plane overhead, possibly beginning its decent into Knoxville. Everything else - so still, as though time has stopped, but we know it rolls on. Time, the Lord blesses us with 24 hours each day, where do those hours go? They seem to evaporate, gone into thin air. Are they stored somewhere?

These are the sights and sounds of a peaceful part of the world. What is it about man, we ask You, Lord, that with progress he brings war? Why can't certain men be satisfied? Oh yes! Satan holds the lease, and Satan is vigorously on the prowl. Like a giant Anaconda he slithers across the landscape looking for his prey. He finds many with a heart filled with the desire for more wealth, and when that isn't enough then they want power. With their quest for power they bring death and destruction. Satan salivates when it's all blamed on You, Lord.

How many souls have been lost in wars, and all for money. Money is at the root of all evil. We cry for the lost souls, but they have a ticket to ride the heavenly express. Money will buy the others a ticket to a dungeon of darkness and pain. Yes, we pray for lost souls, we all need prayer. We know, each person stands responsible for their actions, and they will receive judgment accordingly. We pray for Your world, Lord. We feel the certainty of Your return is fast approaching. Help us to be ready, fill the lamp, trim the wick, be in the Word. We bring our prayer in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Amen.

This prayer is to praise our Triune God. The first two sentences of each verse comes from a hymn, I expect you may recognize them.

This is the Prayer from 3/12/15

Jesus loves me this I know for the Bible tells me so. Little ones to Him belong, they are weak but He is strong. A hymn for children, but you may be hard pressed to find a Christian adult who does not know the words and music. Is that because we are all children at heart, and as such we need to feel loved? Jesus fills us with His love, so that we might love ourselves. As human beings, we have to start with an appreciation of self in order to express a healthy normal love toward others. Jesus is the Love of our life, He is the Lord of our soul.

Let the Holy Spirit guide, let Him teach us what is true. He will testify of Christ, light our minds with heaven's view. The Holy Ghost fills us with a conscience, a sense of wrong and right. He is the one Jesus sent as our Helper. He is the good on our right shoulder to combat the devil on the left. Listen to Him, He leads us to know our God, to feel our need for Him, and to try live an upright life. How blessed we are to have One dedicated for our future well-being. Let the Spirit be our Guide, for His aim is to be the Guard of our soul.

A mighty Fortress is our God, a bulwark never failing; our helper He amid the flood of mortal ills prevailing. We are experiencing a flood of evil that is being presented in a 'new' package of 'if it feels good, do it.' Temptation not only rears its ugly head, it walks right into our homes by so many means. We need a fortress, strong and true. We need to stand as the Maccabees did in Masada. Fierce Jewish fighters, who preferred death to surrender. May we stand for our God with such determination. We ask for Your blessing to be our Fortress always. We pray in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Amen.

"In the name of the Father,
And of the Son,
And of the Holy Spirit,"
Amen!

Prayer for Mercy, with Meditation on the Excellencies of the Lord
A Prayer of David..
Bow down Your ear, O Lord, hear me;
For I am poor and needy.
Preserve my life, for I am holy;
You are my God;
Save Your servant who trusts in You!
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
For I cry to You all day long.
Rejoice the soul of Your servant,
For to You, O Lord, I lift up my soul.
For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive,
And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You.
Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer;
And attend to the voice of my supplications.
In the day of my trouble I will call upon You,
For You will answer me.
Among the gods there is none like You, O Lord;
Nor are there any works like Your works.
All nations whom You have made
Shall come and worship before You, O Lord,
And shall glorify Your name.
For You are great, and do wondrous things;
You alone are God.
Teach me Your way, O Lord;
I will walk in Your truth;
Unite my heart to fear Your name.
I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart,
And I will glorify Your name forevermore.
For great is Your mercy toward me,
And You have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol.
O God, the proud have risen against me,
And a mob of violent men have sought my life,
And have not set You before them.
But You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious,
Longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth.
Oh, turn to me, and have mercy on me!
Give Your strength to Your servant,
And save the son of Your maidservant.
Show me a sign for good,
That those who hate me may see it and be ashamed,
Because You, Lord, have helped me and comforted me.

Psalams 86:1-17

I don't know if it's the love of God that I hold in my heart, or if it's me refusing to grow up, but I keep thinking of myself as a child. And as a child as I examine these psalms of David and Solomon, I am beginning to believe that they saw themselves as children also. These prayers contained in the poems of David and Solomon show an unique relationship between God and Man. And I believe it is this relationship we all should have with God.

I am sure that there are liberals and progressives that have faith in God too. God is not only for the conservatives but for everyone. Did you ever get mad at your parents? Did your parents ever get mad at their parents? Did your brothers and sisters ever get mad at you or your parents? Did you ever get mad at them? St. King David's life is an example of how he dealt with it while taking on the stresses and responsibility of running a nation.

BearK wrote about Samuel and how Saul was to become king. Samuel, the last hero of Israel who was a Judge and the first Prophet, was upset at the division. Israel is the first country to divide religion from government and Samuel thought that this was wrong. Many times he complained to the Lord God of Hosts over this. This is recorded in 1 and 2 Samuel. But notice how God, the Father answers Samuel. God chose Saul to be the first king of Israel. Saul was an evil king. But was he evil? He died evil and did evil things? Yet Saul was troubled between his evil thoughts and pure thoughts, it was David that comforted Saul. Saul would seek out David's life, want him killed, then change his mind. In the end, David would spare Saul's life, but David's supporters would kill Saul, and David would put those supporters to death, because they killed an anointed one of God. Just like what we do, we get so worked up about the actions of a brother or a sister that we seek out their death, but we never do it. Even when we are in the right.

Then what happens, a friend of ours does the deed. But blood is thicker than water, for we then seek out their death, because our brother or sister was anointed by our parents. Ever hear the saying "don't get in between two brothers or sisters when they are fighting". God bestowed his blessing on Saul and David. So as long as Saul was alive, David would not touch him. Knowing this, and knowing that David was Saul's equal David prayed to God for guidance. A shepherd boy and a heroic warrior David was. David stood up to Goliath at Gath. David loved God and even danced before the Lord at Jerusalem. Like a child who dances before their parents, David danced before the Lord. David expressed his love for God. This was a liberal act! Look at David's disrespect for the Lord God of Hosts, which was in the minds of the elders of Israel. The Lord God of Israel does not delight in the politics of men, but in the joy of men.

Just like every parent will kill or be killed for the happiness of their children, so God has done for us the same. Jesus Christ is an example of the heart of David. Jesus too was liberal in his thinking. His teachings built upon the wisdom of old, and taught us how to live. God need not enforce the Ten Commandments, for they are written in the hearts of us Christians. We know the commandments of God, we know that God in due time will punish us for our sins. But as Christians we know in due time He will, if we have faith, hope and love in Him, He will forgive us our sins. Solomon, the name means Peace. Salem or Jerusalem is the Jewish city of Peace. It is here where the House of the God of Hosts was built, not once but twice. And twice the caretakers of His House sinned very wickedly against the Master of the House. But it is here where it is written, in Revelations, that Jesus Christ will return and establish everlasting peace. This is the City of David.

Donald Trump has a big mouth, but Donald Trump wants America to have her embassy in the city of Peace. I agree, however, I agree with caution. Jerusalem should be the capital of Israel and the kingdom of Israel will be restored. But Israel cannot be restored in the way this world is now. Unless, the coming of Christ is near.

O God how great that day will be, when you return to earth and see America the Eagle standing with Israel! What a beautiful sight will it be. Where the lion, the bear, the eagle, and the lamb break bread together in the city of Peace! But Babylon the Great, and her wicked mistress will try to overcome this city. But this city is the city of David, your servant. On that day, the Son of David, the Son of God, will wipe every tear away, and peace, real peace, will reign in. O come Holy Spirit and give comfort to your people. Give comfort to America and Israel. I pray that through the efforts of America and Israel that the people of the earth will see that You ARE GOD! and that they will be converted to you.

But we children of God must stop quarrelling amongst ourselves. Climate change, who cares, for Jesus Christ will destroy this old earth, and make a new heaven and a new earth. In Fire Gold is tested, we must allow ourselves to be tested. We must walk through the fire with steadfast love and faith, as we march into paradise, with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. For I was blind but now I see. I was deaf and now can hear. I was crippled and now I walk. I was troubled but now am at peace. For the Lord God has come and took away the barriers of Sin. Is this not what David was writing about. Let us ask the Holy Spirit for the wisdom to see through the wickedness and punish the guilty as God would punish them, remembering that God also forgives the sincere. We must forgive the sincere.

Abraham broke bread in Salem. David took over Salem and named it Jerusalem. Jesus came to Jerusalem as a king would come, then that king was killed there. But He rose from the dead, there, and ascended into heaven. The Holy Spirit first descended upon Jerusalem. The dead rose from the dead first in Jerusalem, and Jesus would return to Jerusalem.

Lord Jesus, we have a problem down here on earth. The leader you sent to us, Donald Trump, is a strong leader but is nothing without support. You have supported him thus far, and for that I thank you. But there are problems with the man. He means well but his enemies are at the gate and the bitterness is going to get worse. For lo and behold, North Korea is threatening Nuclear war with the United States of America, the country we pray for each and every night. I am proud that you have me working to build a defense against this threat, that is working on "the bullet that takes out the bullet". Yes, Lord thank you for giving us the technology to defend ourselves, however why does it have to come to that? God, guide your servant, Donald Trump, in making the right decision to overcome this difficulty. I understand that other presidents like Truman, Eisenhower and Kennedy had this threat looming over their heads. War was imminent during the Kennedy and Reagan administrations, but the evil forces seem to be uniting against us. And fears of Russia and China are exploding.

However, 100 years ago this year, didn't Your Mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary, didn't she appear to three children in Fatima? Didn't she promise that if we prayed for the repair of the Sacred heart of Jesus and God, that Russia would be converted? Didn't that already occur? Was not Russia converted to you, in 1989 when the Berlin Wall fell? So if Russia is converted why does it take so much time for your children, America and Israel to see this conversion? Why must we be blinded at your great works that seem to be in play for us? Why can't we understand that Russia is not a threat to us or You? On the other hand, North Korea is a threat that must be stopped. Like Castro, and Khrushchev, they must be stopped, otherwise war is inevitable. Just like it was in 1962, as it is today, if North Korea does not stop, we will go to war. I am asking you to protect us if we have to go to war. But in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ and according to the promises of Fatima, I ask you, my Lord to prevent this tragedy. Amen.
God, Bless you all! Amen.

Amen.

Wonderful, thoughtful, observations, Ranger.

We are to go to Him as children. I often picture, in my mind, that as a child, I could run into the room where He would be holding a meeting with His Archangels and Elders. He would stop the meeting to take me in His lap and talk to me. That is how much, I feel, God loves us.

This is the Prayer from 3/13/15

Friday the 13th, just another day to worship God and stand in awe for all the wonders of the universe. On a clear summer's night, we look up into the sky, and marvel at all the stars. We can find the Big Dipper, with the North Star that has been used to lead mariners for centuries. We may be able to pick out one or two others, but for the most part we only want to enjoy the beauty of God's arrangement. We marvel at the fact that God has named each star. Psalm 147:4 tells us "He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name."

As important as the universe is to God, we are far more important. We mean more to Him than the birds of the air which He provides for. He knows and cares for their well being, but His knowledge and care for us is far greater. We were created in His image. We are not gods, but we are imprinted with godly characteristics. As such we are to have love in our hearts, particularly for our fellow man, and an appreciation for all of God's creation. We not only look in awe at the stars, but also find we are held spellbound by the beauty in a field of flowers.

The future is always of interest to us, but what does it really matter? Why do we waste our time thinking about something that has not yet materialized? Tomorrow is but a dream, it will care for itself when it arrives. We have today, live for what you have, care for the needs of today's obligations, enjoy the now. It is a new day out there. The snow is beginning to disappear, the days are growing longer, take a walk in the sun. Look! A crocus is blossoming, a Robin is building a nest, this is God's world for us to delight in - don't miss this opportunity. Dear Lord, we bring You our prayer in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Amen

"In the name of the Father,

Amen!

The Glories of the City of God
A Psalm of the sons of Korah. A Song.
His foundation is in the holy mountains.
The Lord loves the gates of Zion
More than all the dwellings of Jacob.
Glorious things are spoken of you,
O city of God! Selah
“I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon to those who know Me;
Behold, O Philistia and Tyre, with Ethiopia:
‘This one was born there.’”
And of Zion it will be said,
“This one and that one were born in her;
And the Most High Himself shall establish her.”
The Lord will record,
When He registers the peoples:
“This one was born there.” Selah
Both the singers and the players on instruments say,
“All my springs are in you.”

Psalams 87:1-7

"For You alone are the Holy One,
For You alone are the Lord,
For You alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ...."

In my youth I was an altar-boy. I served on the altar every saturday evening, because my mother wanted to sleep on Sunday.
While serving on the altar from the age of reason, that is eight years old, I observed the people as I prayed. I saw some with happiness, others with contempt, and still others with an unbelievable hope in God. It amazed me. I saw people desperately holding on to the words of the Gospels, and others who would use those words against each other. I saw the Sunday-go-to-Church but saturday go to bars and strip joints. I saw the men and women of the gangs come into the church with no pride searching for a better way to live. And I witnessed how the power of God, through Jesus Christ healed them all.

For ten years I served God and man, on the altar. I witnessed the power of God, I guess you can say, while serving Him. As time went on, I joined the Navy and went to War in Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom, but I still miss being on the altar in the presence of God. It is simply amazing how God works in our lives. If we would just let him. Joy comes to the man who fears God and keeps His commandments.

In my twenties and thirties I saw another side of life. A life where everything is a god. From sex, to money, to politics, to thievery to homelessness to all sorts of evil and wicked things. I have seen how Man can destroy each other for no other reason but for pleasure. As a child, I asked God to grant me wisdom, over riches and other things. Now, that I've walked through the fire of the 20s and 30s, having the background and knowledge of my youth, I have seen that God has granted me this prayer. I have gained wisdom of God, but have not gained wisdom of man. So my journey is incomplete. Therefore, there is more work to be done. I pray for friends and family every night before I go to bed. I pray for my enemies and America in public as well as in private. I talk with God on a daily basis as I speak to you, both in writing and verbally. Somedays I can feel a strong presence of the Holy Spirit and other days I feel cold and miserable because the presence of God has left me.

I felt that it was my fault that God has left me. So, I began to confess my sins. But still there was no comfort. Then in a gentle whisper God questioned my feelings and said to me, "Why do you ever doubt me? I have been here all along."

Why do we doubt God? Why did America doubt God? Why must we wallow in the demise of our imaginations? Do we fear the Lord so much that we make Him unobtainable? God knows our conscience, and for those who suppressed their consciences: why did you cut off the communication between the Lord and yourself? No man is more powerful than God. Yet we refuse to lay at the feet of the Lord our petitions. We would rather run to a man like Bill Clinton or Barack Obama, then to listen to God or any servant of God. Why? Can we not freely run our lives under our free-thinking, then to be forced to by another? God builds armies that are free, where man makes excuses for freedom. God's people follow God not because He forces them to, but because they want to.

Let's spread the word of this topic, and all the good that it has done and invite more people to pray for America on this thread and the original thread. God is hearing our petitions on these two threads and hears all of our deeply felt petitions. God is my teacher, my brother, and my friend. He has helped me through the darkest days of my life and saved me from death. So why should I go against Him? God is Peace, True Peace. God is Love, greater than a true love. God is hope, a true hope that will come to be in your life if you let Him affect your life. God is Trust and Faith, for the virtues of Faith, Hope and Love come from Him. Without Him there is despair, depression, and death.

We must go out into the World and convince our countrymen that not only is God, alive, but He is sending His Holy Spirit to us, to renew our Country. Amen
God, Bless you all! Amen.

"In the name of the Father,
And of the Son,
And of the Holy Spirit,"
Amen!

This is the Prayer from 3/14/15

The morning sounds makes our part of the world come alive with activity, natural, peaceful activity. In the distance, the sound of a dog barking. We hear an owl hoot, does it see some prey or is it calling to another? Overhead you hear a jet plane, probably carrying passengers to their destination. What is our destination? What is our future, we wonder. Things are just too normal, and we know things are not right. Our part of the world will be seeing change, a change we are not accustomed to, nor do we look forward to, but open our eyes, Lord, prepare us.

Praise the Lord for your present safety! The winds of change hold more than we may be prepared to handle, be warned, be ready. Praise Him and look to His Word. Trusting in Him, and following Him. We will have to turn our eyes heavenward, and plead our case accordingly. Our understanding has such limits, He has a plan that must be followed. Trust the Lord! Look to Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths."

What do our paths hold, where are they leading? We have many questions, but no answers. Wait! There is an answer, trust the Lord, be in the Word. In Zephaniah 3 the Lord speaks to Jerusalem, His Words should ring for us today. He looks to the meek and humble, to those who believe and trust in Him. He looks to those who will work together, share and care for each other, they will not be liars. His Word tells us He is living among us. He is a mighty savior. "With His love, He will calm all your fears." We pray in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost, O Lord, come be with us! Amen.
