EO's only affect Federal agencies, Bureaus and Departments and have no effect on private entities. EO's have to be implemented by the agencies affected, and without clear direction, may not achieve the desired result. With the exception of ICE and DHS, none of Trumps EO's have been implemented, so you're talking about potential results, not actual results.
For every job Trump claims to have created, there has been as many layoffs and terminations, leaving us with a zero sum result.

No one can pay their bills with rhetoric.

Good day to you major.. I don't necessarily disagree with what you say here other than the job base which I haven't looked at to see if what they report as 235k new jobs is even accurate.. The government numbers are never reflective of reality and as for layoffs I haven't read about them at all so I'll respond when I know more..

The point of the thread is measured by what President Trump views as priorities and his action taken relative to his pledge to we citizens..And EOs do start the motion to be taken or followed in direction of those government agencies screwing everything up to begin with, yes???

You know I am for Trump and against what we are learning is a much more corrupt government than any of us may have thought..

Did check this one out-~~

http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/ct-january-jobs-report-20170203-story

The unemployment rate ticked up to a still-low 4.8 percent from 4.7 percent in December. But the rate rose for an encouraging reason: More Americans started looking for work, though not all of them found jobs immediately. The proportion of adults who are either working or looking for work reached its highest point since September.

Friday's report depicted an American job market that is generating consistently solid hiring and encouraging more people to start looking for work. Nearly a half-million people who weren't previously job-hunting began doing so in January.

If employers keep hiring, even more Americans could be drawn into the job market.

"The increase in the unemployment rate came about from both more people working and more people looking for work — a positive," said Gus Faucher, an economist at PNC.

Yet some of the economy's softness remains: Average hourly wages — a weak spot since the Great Recession ended 7½ years ago — barely rose last month. And the number of people working part time who would prefer full-time work rose.

Still, even the sluggish wage gain contains a silver lining: It suggests that employers are attracting qualified job seekers who were previously on the sidelines. If employers regarded those people as unemployable, they would likely have to further raise pay to attract people who already have jobs.

What SHOULD be a priority, is filling WH positions, deputy Sec. of State, Deputy Sec. Def. and the other positions - but Trump et al haven't even proposed any nominees. This is not a one man show, as not even the great Donald Trump can do it all and make every decision. Having only a dozen people he "trusts" is a recipe for disaster - even if he makes all the right decisions.

So far there's been a heaping big pile of talk, but very little actual activity - because it takes a village, not a high command.

And what about those he has nominated but have not been vetted by the very ones who said they would slow the process down.. Why speak now and nominate until those he has are at least moved along???

This intentional delay just gives him more time to pick the best he believes in..

And major, plenty has been put out there with no action by Congress(surprise) other than complaining he's giving too much to do too quickly..

Really... and just what have you (lpnmajor) done to help "Make America Great Again"? Criticism for the sake of demeaning is cheep and not helpful. If one is not a part of the solution one is the problem. Oh and smaller government was a component of the President Trump's election campaign, another promise he intends to keep. If you want to do something to help, work at convincing yourself and others with like mindset to reevaluate reality and adjust you thinking to encompass facts and truth. Support our president and our country!

Go President Trump. I do believe we finally have someone in office who understands that you can't solve the problem with the same level of thinking that created the problem in the first place.

The dems may slow walk the President's nominations , their problem is they can't Think fast enough to stop Mr. Trump .. All this rusky this and that is of their making and will backfire on these idiots in long run and as Trump defies all normal political traditions , they can not get out of their own shadow . The more they show their ass the deeper the insanity of their actions cripple the demo party in 2018 . Great article and info

Read this and immediately thought of your comment...

Appears President Trump is looking to down size the much bloated government establishment and not necessarily replace some jobs...I like it!!
They do have plenty of overlap in positions and functions...Time to make it run efficiently is a very good idea, yes??

Trump Signs Order To Reduce The Size Of the Federal Bureaucracy

“major step towards making the federal government..." work...

by Jack Davis March 13, 2017 at 3:25pm

President Donald Trump on Monday began a far-reaching reorganization of the federal government.

Trump signed the Comprehensive Plan For Reorganizing The Executive Branch, which he called a “major step towards making the federal government efficient, effective and accountable.”

Trump said the order empowers his Cabinets to revamp their departments.

“We have assembled one of the greatest Cabinets in history and I believe that so strongly,” Trump said. “And we want to empower them to make their agencies as lean and effective as possible and they know how to do it. Today there is duplication and redundancy everywhere. Billions and billions of dollars are being wasted.”

“This order requires a thorough examination of every executive department and agency to see where money is being wasted, how services can be improved and whether programs are truly serving American citizens,” Trump said.
