My faith makes me a Conservative and a Liberal, at least as I see it though you probably will not agree

Conservative: "holding to traditional attitudes and values and cautious about change or innovation, typically in relation to politics or religion."
Liberal: "open to new behavior or opinions and willing to discard traditional values."
Anabaptist: "a Protestant sectarian of a radical movement arising in the 16th century and advocating the baptism and church membership of adult believers only, nonresistance, and the separation of church and state."
None of these definitions are quite satisfactory to me and most likely to you. In general, the Conservative definition alone generally fits. As to the Liberal, it is tricky. Personal and spiritual growth demand an "openness to new behavior or opinions" and the willingness to discard certain values, traditional or otherwise, that conflict with the love of God, neighbor, and our enemy, a standard many not find acceptable or sustainable in this world. As to being an Anabaptist, I do not belong to any organized group, such as the Quakers or Mennonites, and do not fit the definition, except in matters regarding "nonresistance and separation of church and state."

Which, I feel, will make me an overwhelming favorite to be labeled a flaming Dummocrap or Liptard on most points. This is one of my concerns, and another is the possible animosity my views may generate. From what I have read the last week here, that seems probable. What will likely be another problem is that I see no issue as secular. (I was going to say as "purely secular" but feel there is no such thing as secular period.) All life, everything we think, say and do falls within the spiritual: no exceptions. I know many here disagree with that opinion, some strongly, finding no room for God-talk at all. But that is where my comments will originate. And that holds no special knowledge or favor and hopefully no automatic dismissal or attack . Still just an opinion based on a mortal's limited understanding of many things in life like all of us.

Also, this is not some conversion attempt. ("Methinks he protests too much.") Just stating that creates warranted suspicion of motive. I am interested in seeing what I see as godly principles and values possibly contributing to the resolution of some of our nation's problems with or without being a "Christian thing." I look forward to an open, stimulating, sometimes fractious, sometimes wondrous, always honest, and enlightening experience.

You really do like listening to yourself talk; don't you? I am just a man, and I want to know if this conservative administration has a health care plan that will help the millions of people who WILL still be working, because that's what we all do, after there is no Obama Care?

I am a moderate Liberal, and I am wondering the same thing.

Will Trump begin to work with Democrats to fix the Health care bill? Something Democrats have wanted for 7 years now.Or,will he try to pass that monstrosity that Paul Ryan wants? Knocking people off,tax breaks for Insurance CEO's.

The irony of Paul Ryan and his Ayn Rand belief to kill all programs, including Social Security, something he and his Mother lived on after his Father died young.

Good to meet all of you. It is hard to feel informed when so much of what we are told are lies. I hope to learn as I listen to all of you.

I think what the true moderate Liberal, who believes in values, helping our neighbor, trying to spread those values among all the ugliness today is shared by mot of the American people.

The blame, hate and anger will not win in the long run. It is shrieking loudly today because they know their time is getting short.
