Our world, our life, do not squander it.

We have created a world of endless culture, so many cultures, so much emotion poured into what we create, all those before us have died, we will die, die standing, dig your feet in the ground, have your life mean something, we pour a little bit of emotion in everything we do, do not be afraid of death. If you want to be selfless you must cast out all of your inward emotions, if you want to be selfless, you must understand that fear of death is selfish. Fill life with love, pour emotion into everything you do, be content with life, for we are only given one, express yourself, live, be happy, laugh at death as you laugh in life, for death is a part of life, what comes after is a great adventure. Adventure is described as conquering the great unknown, for now, life is your adventure, life will end, but it is not the final frontier, the real adventure is what comes after, what comes after life, nobody knows, there is only one way to find out. Do not cut this adventure short, or you will never know what will come next in your life, live life without looking back on pain, this will take you away from now, now is now, do not waste now, now is what you have, then is only what you had, use now to get to the future, learn from it as you learn from your past, for now will be past, as you read this you are learning, thinking, remembering, do not forget, life is to short for loss of memories that count, do not live in the past, but never forget it.

what goes through my head
what do you think?

Hence the name: "philosophyman." You have offered a fairly generalized subject for commentary. A good way to look at things, although not always feasible. You appear to be a deeper thinker than most kids your age, and for that, I compliment you and encourage you. If we were not intended to think, we would not have a thinker to think with. Don't get me started on religious dogma, it's too early in the morning.

I say, don't be quite so unafraid of death. Wanting to stay alive is the reason we fight wars. Suicide bombers who aren't afraid of death pose a significant threat to us who love living life. Please maintain a reasonable fear of death, and desire to stay alive.

Query: Why do most people avoid death?
Answer: Because though most people (myself included), either believe or profess belief in an afterlife, there is always the nagging little doubt that you might be wrong. I personally believe in an afterlife, and I also think it is probably nothing like what any religion teaches. Although I am repeating myself, I consider organized (and for that matter, unorganized religion as a very inadequate attempt to explain something we cannot really conceive of. I used once an analogy of ants in the Amazon Rain Forest, trying to describe Man, with absolutely no point of reference. Once more, think of it, Christian ants, Hindu ants, Scientology ants, Muslim ants, all trying to describe their relationship to man in a manner that is most advantageous to their particular belief system. Is there an afterlife? If there is, does it contain anteaters, and if so, are they tofu eating vegetarians? Do Muslim ants really get 70 virgin queens? Do drones in the afterlife have gainful employment, or do they still hold government jobs? I think any effort to explain these things might just be an exercise in futility. However, we will all find out, soon or late.

Heaven is worth living for.

Without an ultimate force outside of yourself to guide you along a path that "does not change in it's expectation on you", you walk your life through a maze of peoples expectations on you that will sooner or later deplete you.

Charity, Hope, and Love. And your never depleted.

In idea, Death is not what you live towards. The hope of something greater, long-lasting (eternal), which recognizes all your goodness - Charity, Hope, and Love, where in this life people generally don't.

There are those who do know what lays beyond this life, and as I said: Heaven is worth living for.

You are welcome. While I am not an Atheist, I consider most organized religions to be a waste of time. Ants. Not very altruistically motivated ants either.

When I was young the church was the place one could go to pray - in addition to home. Services were held for marriages ad funerals and, on Saturdays, the weekly dance - not only attended by teens but entire families. Today I insist that churches are not houses of worship but businesses. When an organization owns a building(s) and needs offices, it is no longer a house of worship but a business.

I also believe that, in Christianity, all of the sects further separation rather than union. The usual "Our beliefs are better or more true than yours." The same is true of different religions. If there is a God, there is "A God!" What difference can a name make?

I have never discussed religion with my neighbor; just simply told him I don't go to church. He is of the belief that Halloween is my big day. I was shocked when he said that. How dare he infer that premise?

I will continue to stay away from churches as they foster negativity.

You are very young, All these ideas, beliefs, and philosophies are fairly new to you. Know now what is important; such knowing is purely--purely--self-serving. Love, and forget about the rest.

I think most of us fear death because we think it is the end of us. And we are vain enough to think that we matter. Do we matter? We spend our whole life trying to fit into society, and while we are in it, trying to ignore it to find peace. Most of us are just wandering through life with no real purpose. The question has always been, "Who determines our purpose, and how do we know what it is?" If you believe in God, your purpose is to glorify Him. No matter what you do you do it for His glory. If you don't believe in God, you do it for your own vanity. And then what? World fame, or infamy, or just an ink blot on the page of life? The only thing that makes all this bearable, is to have some hope that you have made a good mark in the progress of man. The problem is, that the only one that will know it and care is God.
