For those that don't know as in liberals here is a little read for your entertainment.

Here's a historic fact that would seem to indicate that many, if not most, of the people we elect to go to Washington don't have the slightest idea of what laws already exist. It's been law for over 60 years.
Trump was recently severely criticized for suggesting that the U.S. should limit or temporarily suspend the immigration of certain ethnic groups, nationalities, and even people of certain religions (Muslims). The criticisms condemned such a suggestion as, among other things, being Un-American, dumb, stupid, reckless, dangerous and racist. Congressmen and Senators swore that they would never allow such legislation, and the president called such a prohibition on immigration unconstitutional.
As Gomer Pyle would say, Surprise, Surprise, Surprise!" It seems that the selective immigration ban is already law and has been applied on several occasions. Known as the McCarran-Walter Act, the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 allows for the "Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by president. Whenever the president finds that the entry of aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, the president may, by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or non-immigrants or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate. The act was utilized by Jimmy Carter in 1979 to keep Iranians out of the United States, but he actually did more. He made all Iranian students already here check in, and then he deported a bunch. Seven thousand were found in violation of their visas, 15,000 Iranians were forced to leave the United States in 1979. It is of note that the act requires that an applicant for immigration must be of good moral character and "attached to the principles of the Constitution".

For those that don't know as in liberals here is a... (show quote)

I think the question was over singling out people by their religion. The constitution allows for no religious tests which is why making a law centered around one would be unconstitutional. But no matter. So long as Trump keeps opening his mouth there isn't much chance he's going to be elected president...

What question would that be as I didn't ask any question in this. This is just a fact of law that states a president can stop importation and also deport specific peoples from specific countries.

I think the question would not be their religion but their ideology. Islam seems to combine the two into a comprehensive bond that forces the devotes to Submission. They have no Free Will to be able to decide what is right or wrong. They are told what to think by their Mullahs, Imams, Ayatollahs, etc.

Islam is a cultural, religious and political system. ... a political system that uses a deity to keep its servants in line while it advances it's political agenda and world domination. Convert to Islam or be put to death by the sword.

Islam is Submission...

You brain dead ninny, if you can not see that your premise of blocking muslims, and Paul Ryan's threat to sue trump for banning muslims is connected, then you should not be allowed to try to think.

I think first we should clarify the question... Is Islam a Religion or a Political System?

All religions seem to try to control all of a persons life, they seem like cults.

Once more, in 1979, Carter blocked entry of, specifically, Shiite Muslims. He expelled Iranians, but he blocked the entry of Muslims, not Iranians, not Arabs. Paul Ryan was, is, and always will be an Establishment whore. He really doesn't care much which party's movers and shakers he spreads his legs for.

Ouch, Loki... That was a gross, graphic visual you just penned... Ryan on his back with his legs raised real high or him bent over with his legs spread... Yuck.
