republicans - you must legally challenge obama and reid

why wont the republicans muster some courage and challenge obama and harry reid on their thuggish and extremely partisan
tactics in passing laws that are detrimental to the welfare of the majority of american people? why wont you challenge obamas use of executive orders to circumvent congress?

all reid has to do is refuse to allow introduction of republican bills for consideration in "his" senate. by that action he denies representation to the portion of the population that does not kneel to the democratic party line. he and obama both very poor at cooperation and negotiation.

Because their goal isn't winning but maintaining the status quo - which is what the Democrats do when the Republicans hold most of the cards. They want it to APPEAR as if they're trying to accomplish something, to keep us gullible idiots voting for them, and then they do nothing!

Why didn't immigration reform get done during the Reagan administration?

Why didn't tort reform and healthcare get done under Clinton?

Why was Bush bailing out banks and corporations?

Why hasn't the social services system decreased the number of poor folks on public assistance?

All these things and more could have been done decades ago; and they SHOULD have been done!

Our Congress could take care of the People's business with just a few months of honest work every year and then go home to their constituencies.

But that's not the goal! The goal is to keep the voters divided and distracted by endless crises, to change as little as possible and to keep the cash rolling in.

There is an entrenched Establishment of both parties. They are playing us like puppets and making tons of money doing it!

Two things have happened to screw up their little party. Obama is a true ideologue. I don't think the Democrats expected him to win when he ran against Hillary, but he did and they had to make the best of it or risk pissing off their base.

The Tea Party movement happened to the Republicans. Its roots are in a response to Bush's bailout of the big banks, but it's morphed into something else. It's a direct result of the Republicans pissing off their base. I don't think the Tea Party will stop until the Republicans toe the line on fiscal responsibility. All the other issues, except immigration reform maybe, could be put on the back burner. Either that, or the Republicans will cease to be a viable party for a while, because if the TP folks aren't going to back down. If these bastards continue to govern like socialists they will lose elections and a third party will be formed.

Folks just don't care. That's why they can do what they want. When repubs complain, folks see them as whiners.

Vernon-all they can do is complain. Who would you suggest they go to in order to proceed legally ? Eric Holder ? If Harry Reid tables every bill the House sends down to the Senate what can the Speaker do other than complain ? If you are aware of a procedure to force Harry Reid to bring those up for debate please share it . I would like to hear from anyone who may have procedural knowledge that he/she could share. Good Luck America !!!

Big Mike-yes there is an entrenched old guard in both parties and they need to be ousted. What if we republicans band together and successfully oust our professional politicians only to find out that the democrats are re-electing theirs ? To clean house requires a bi-partisan effort which will be hard to do. We may have a better chance by insisting that term and age limits be imposed and vote out anyone who is against. We need fresh young minds with new ideas to save our country. Re-electing the old timers is a losing proposition as they are in it for themselves only. Good Luck America !!!

It may be necessary to lose a couple of election cycles before the message is understood. It sucks, but it's either that or content ourselves with more of the same.
