Newbie...AGAIN!!!

My first time as a newbie was when I arrived in South Korea in 197? Okay, I'll suck it up and drive on.

Did a FEW years in the Army, now medically retired.

My view point on politics has evolved since my time in the Army...more recently 1990 and again in 2008.

I hope I find what I'm looking for on this site...though I am not expecting miricals. I realize how our government got out of control....and we are the enemy. We The People are the ones that fell asleep at the wheel.

Don't let politics bore you. Get answers fast on the internet. Be your own 'fact checker'!

Welcome, backgatesouth!! It's always good to see new people on these commentary sites. I'm fairly new here too. I've blogged sorta all over the internet, and this site is different from most in that you don't necessarily get immediate feedback. Just hang in there, though. And if you reply to specific posters, please use the "quote reply" button, rather than merely the "reply" button. The "reply" button doesn't let anyone know to whom you are responding. I had to work to learn that much when I arrived here.

Thank you for your service. I love military people. Was one myself (Army Nurse Corps) and my husband was one, USMC.

Yes, our country is a mess. It took some decades to reach this point, which I believe to be a point of no return - hope I am wrong about that, but I think it will take a miracle to turn it around. It is no solace that half the country regrets what is happening, but we just haven't yet found a way to deal with it without landing in jail where we could do NO good. Some of us are constantly searching for ways.

You may be interested in some of the articles on my partner's website, http://www.no-ruler.net . I've written some there - and YOU would be welcome to put in your two cents worth there as well as here. May as well jump in with both feet!
