We really need to remove Karl Rove and his ilk from the republican party and restart at the grass roots level of getting back to the conservative principals that made our country strong and good for all people. I don't know how that would be accomplished but I'm sure that a good majority of the republican party would support it. I don't want a middle of the road politician to deal with the l*****ts we need a strong conservative to fight against the l*****t and win.

bahmer-believe most conservatives would want a strong conservative congress (House & Senate) and I support the TEA party fighting for same. However, when it comes to the presidency we will need the independents in order to win and they may not be ready for a real conservative just yet but may settle for a moderate. With the correct policies in place, over time, the independents can be won over to the conservative side. We may have to go with the candidate who can win rather than the one we really prefer. I could be totally wrong on this. We desperately need republican control to get the country back on track. Good Luck America !!!

I am a tea party member by the way and the only thing that I can say about a moderate is that according to Karl Rove he wants a middle of the roader. As I recall being told at various levels in my life that if you played in the middle of the road you would get hit by a car. Later if you drove in the middle of the road you will get hit by a car and k**led. So I kind of took that philosophy through life and stayed out of the middle of the road and I think that it would be wise for the republican party to do the same since Karl Rove has only helped to destroy what was left of the republican party with his middle of the road bulls**t.

bahmer-it is not we republicans you have to convince. The independents will decide the e******n and we republicans can push conservatism from now on but unless the independents buy into it the democrats win again. Also, it is difficult to preach tightening of the belt and balanced budgets when the opposition is constantly chanting, "the republicans will take away your social securtiy, medicare, food stamps, welfare, etc." The low information v**er does not want anything taken away from him/her so they v**e democrat. I would rather have a moderate republican as president than a liberal democrat. Good Luck America !!!
