Of course I know who Barbara Bush is. How can you forget a woman who was first lady? I am liberal.I didn't v**e for "41", however I do not understand anyone wishing for misfortune for this woman. I'm a little different. I am a pro-life Democrat, who doesn't believe in a******n (except under extremely limited circumstances). I also don't believe in the death penalty. I would never wish death on someone because they have political views different than my own. Life is difficult enough for all of us, without people being churlish and uncharitable. Shame on anyone who would wish Mrs. Bush harm.

The bad thing about this forum is, no one knows who/what you really are. You could be a repub pretending to be a dem and say really stupid things and visa versa. It's all wind, at the end of the day. Of all the millions of posts on line, maybe 10% are legit.

Why would you pretend to be your political opposite? The payoffs for doing so would be extremely minimal. This is not a quotable resource, like the mainstream media, nor some of the most prominent political websites (with a point of view). Why would anyone bother to go to that trouble.

My concern is more the opposite; that too many people believe the things they really post here. Of special concern are the bullies who love to refer to their weapons or use school yard insults, i.e. Dumbocrats, lock and load, etc. I'm afraid their cloak of anonymity allows them to express anti-black or anti-hispanic attitudes. Just as an aside, as a Jew, I am alert to anti-semitism. There, however just doesn't seem to be much of that expressed here. I'm glad those folks mostly limit themselves to the worst of the worst w***e s*********t websites such as Stormfront, Vanguard News, Occidental Quarterly,KKK, etc.
